Hopefully, this is the correct spot for this question....I am planning on mounting a Cisco 24 port PoE switch. 350X-24MP. Looks like it will generate a bit of heat.
power comsumption is 468W and dissipation is 1607 BTU/hr
Going to mount a rack to the wall in a closet that is about 6' wide x3'...
Trying to replace two fans, motherboard fan and case fan.
Case fan: ad0805lx-a70gl, trying replace with a Noctua to reduce noise.
AD0805LX-A70GL: length 80, width 80, height 25, voltage 5V, current 0.23A, 2 pin
Problem is, the closest I can find is a 4 pin, Noctua NF-A8 5V PWM but I only...
Hi all,
I bought a XMG A707 Notebook and realized that the fan is terrible loud. After some research in the web i've read that this is normal for this model. My question is if there is a possibility to exchange the fan there and if yes - what fan i can use?
Thx
The noise from the psu is a grinding fan noise and when close a buzzing noise.
The unit is mounted upside down as have a underside vent with filter on Corsair case.
Hey all,
I have an aging APC Smart-UPS SUA1500 desktop model which I got used on eBay in like 2014 or so.
(Example pic from Google, not mine)
It's a great unit, built like a tank, and just incredibly reliable. Couldn't be happier with it.
That said, the thing has likely been in service...
EDIT:
I wanted to make it excruciatingly clear that Noctua fixed my issue. They explained the problem, and offered to swap out all 18 of my fans. See more details here. Good job Noctua in addressing the issue head on, solving it, and winning a customer for life.

I recently got a Clevo P870TM1 with a dead cpu fan and been trying to fix it for a while. I already tried the port with another fan and it worked so the problem is the fan itself. The fan looks good, it's not stuck or anything, spins fast if I move it myself.
What could be the problem or is...
I own a couple of 1882 Areca cards. Most of them are working fine. I would like to replace the fans of all of them, starting with a 1882-8i.
I have removed the fan and the squared metal. I have bought a Noctua 40mm (10mm height). This one doesn't really fit on to the squared metal, but okee i...
Hey Everyone.
I am currently trying to make a new build inside a Silverstone FTZ01B-E case with the new Ryzen 5 3600. The case has a 83 mm clearance for the CPU cooler.
I did run into a problem what cooling option from Noctua should I choose to make the whole configuration quiet and low on...
I've just bought 3 Enermax T.B. RGB´s and I don't want to control them with it's controller.
I have an Asus Maximus XI Hero motherboard, witch I wan't to control the fans speed with.
Is there any way to do this? I don't mind if all 3 adjust at the same time, I just want the MB's to automaticly...
So was given an old system w/phenom II X4 965 BE and can't stand the fan. If I want to just replace the fan I've found these:
CM sleeve bearing 80mm silent mdl R4-SPS-20AK-GP, Noctua NF-B9 Redux PWM (92mm), Nexus 80mm basic SP802512L-03 and I vy much like the Apollish Advance fan from an...
My gpu makes that noise in the first fan but only with a low speed, if I leave my computer horizontally, it does not make any noise regardless of the speed of the fan. It only happens vertically, and it does not seem to have any bad adjusted fan.
I do not have any problem with the gpu, it works...
I've got an Aerocool DS 140mm fan with fluid dynamic bearings. I'm attempting to lubricate the bearing, bu when I took the sticker off there wasn't any cap to remove. Is it a sealed system or something?
I uploaded a picture of the fan showing that it doesn't seem to have a cap.
As I rebuild my PC I realised I no longer need any case fans - apart from the (really silent) GPU and CPU fans I no longer need the 4+1 (small+top large) fans in my case - I only use SSDs and don't overclock so there is not much heat to push, I hate to always have to clean dust filters, they...
Noctua's next generation A-series fan due out this fall has, according to PC gamer, had a whole lot of engineering work go into it. We're talking 200+ prototypes, and four and a half years of development to come up with a fan that produces low noise, but also moves a lot of air, even when up...
I have a small fanless computer that overheats in summer without an external usb fan but if you connect a usb fan it will stay on in sleep mode and even when the computer is off.
There is no way to change it in the bios.
Is there a way to connect a very small fan to any other wires on the usb...

I own an Asus Strix Fury. Fan number 3 broke and they refused to fix it because I bought a "whitebox."
Usually, this isn't some big issue as a ton of us here mod crap anyway. I took it apart got to the fan and then tried to buy a replacement for months. Even buying the exact same serial...
I bought an NZXT LED 200mm fan from Amazon ahwile back for my PC, and it looks great, but then I went and got two similar Corsair 120mm fans to replace my boring black ones. When I bought them, I did not pay attention to the fact that my larger fan has glasslike transparent fins, while the two...
See title - looking to find out what the best 140mm case fans are these days. I have a couple of Corsair AF ones but they seem like they are starting to buzz or something, quite annoying. I've been out of the fan game for awhile so I'm not sure what is good these days. Not looking to spend a...
Ok so after hours of searching this morning Im at the end of my rope. I installed a xfx hd R7770 ghost into the machine and noticed that the gpu fan started for a second, then stopped.
Everything works fine operationally besides the fan. I installed MSI Afterburner to monitor temps while...
