I’ve had a couple instances where the pelican would be stuck under the ground. Yeah, they really need to focus on the technical aspect of this game before adding new/more content. Reduce the file size of this game and how about finally adding dlss? Vermintide 2 runs on an older version of the engine they are using and fat shark was still able to add dlss 4.this is SO BUGGY after this update, its pretty bad. Sound is often jusst broken. Game crashes a lot now. I never had crashes in the past now its almost every drop on the new terminid planet. the new stuff iss just not play tested and just overall broken at times. Very rushed. I'm back to just fighting bots but its so messed up its almost not playable.
I also hate fighting the bugs so t he new content sucks even when it works. I can barely do a level 6 difficultly even with 3 other players.
Its because Arrowhead is a shit dev. They caught lightening in a bottle, but for everything they fix, they break 10. Performance is brutal, regardless of hardware or system.this is SO BUGGY after this update, its pretty bad. Sound is often jusst broken. Game crashes a lot now. Yep. Fatshark uses it.I had some sympathy for them since they were using an old engine, Stingray that is no longer supported. Then I learned that the Vermintide/Darktide devs use the same engine.
Ive had no issues with the game at all until this update.
Yeah, last couple times I've played after a game or two I'll get constant 3-4 second freezes every 20-30 seconds or so. I've tried some fixes I found online like clearing the shader cache folder after every game update, and after I did that last night it seemed to help; it only did the 3-4 sec freeze a handful of times in the next couple games. Still very annoying regardless. One of my friends tried to play with me a couple nights ago too and his game completely crashed twice in a row and he couldn't get through a match with me. Which actually finally happened to me last night as well and when I decided to call it quits for the night at least. One of the reasons I left TD2 was the constant crashing. This game is now way worse. Latest mess is lag/freezing on bot front. One thing after another.
The great thing about this game is that the weapons are fairly balanced and almost all of them have a unique and good feeling to using them. Some are more effecting for different factions, but very few are actually bad to use overall. So there's a ton of different loadouts that can work for you and across the different factions and you can have fun using and experimenting with them as you unlock more.Grabbed this as a change of pace. Lots to take in. I have not had many technical issues, at least yet. Still figuring a lot out but it is fun when you get put with someone who knows what they are doing. Yet to find anybody who both uses mic and speaks English
Lightening? As in, making it lighter? Its because Arrowhead is a shit dev. They caught lightening in a bottle, but for everything they fix, they break 10. Performance is brutal, regardless of hardware or system.
I don't buy the indie dev excuse anymore, Arrowhead has made truckloads of money....and has not invested a single dime into testing or quality control.
And I'm over the dev worship. Yah, the game lets you earn currency, but they have also increased the cost....dramatically, and with this new gloom missions, they lock the ability to complete behind a warbond(portable hellbomb). Remember the days when you could get a helmet for 75 supercredits. naw, now its 250-400. The creep is real and the warbond give us less and less....and for the most part, its lots of reskins and useless perks.
They drop untested updates, and in typical Swedish dev fashion, they take off and we dont hear from them until they toss more microtransaction warbonds at us.
And while I usually just take what Helldivers gives us, this last update is such a fucking mess. New content, I have completed a single mission since it came out.....its either full on crashes, glitched missions, broken gameplay(guns just wont reload, terminals wont work), or server drops.
When the game came out, we had queues for a few days when we were hitting +400k players. Now we hit 250k and again, I have to wait to even get in my game. Seriously AH, spin up for authentication servers.
The anti cheat is abhorrent.
The galactic war is completely on rails. I don't understand how people think what planet we hit makes a single shred of difference.
I cant believe that this game is this huge with this much success.....and it has ZERO player reporting function. Teamkillers, hackers, griefers, pedophiles.....forget it, the report player option literally tells you it does nothing. And yah, lets cross platform 3 systems with no way to report.
I was super pumped for the xbox players.....But I am a day 1 divers, with hundreds of hours, and I think I have ran into half a dozen trolling players in all that time (excluding the week or two when the chaos divers were going nuts), but the number of Xbox randos that I have had to kick is insane.
I'm taking a break from this, first real break from it since release. From a technical standpoint, the game is hands down in the worst state it has been in.
The Helldivers discord (it's a joint discord for both Helldivers I and II) has an official "Looking for Group" channel for each matchmaking region that you get put into based on the questionnaire they have you fill out when you join (think it's like 4 questions). I've gotten a couple good groups that way.Grabbed this as a change of pace. Lots to take in. I have not had many technical issues, at least yet. Still figuring a lot out but it is fun when you get put with someone who knows what they are doing. Yet to find anybody who both uses mic and speaks English
loooooots of duplicate data. What the fuck
Yeah, I just installed the beta slim and played it just fine.PC file size has been reduced by 85% with support from Nixxes
We were able to reduce the PC installation size from ~154 GB to ~23 GB, for a total saving of ~131 GB (~85%)...
https://www.techpowerup.com/343590/...23-gb-pc-installation-size-assisted-by-nixxes
They explain the issue was that 'industry data' informed them for the need for duplicated data for HDDs but then they tested it for their game and discovered it made no difference to loading times since the map generation was the bottleneck.I don't understand why they would think anyone still uses HDDs to game off of anymore and would rather waste the vast majority of user's drive space for the 2% of gamers that somehow don't use an SSD in 2025.
I think they said that it was still a surprising amount of hdd users (11%), but that they were playing it safe because industry experts were telling them it could be a massive increase to load times. Thankfully they were wrong and it doesn't really affect hdd users anyways lolYeah, I just installed the beta slim and played it just fine.
Very nice to reclaim 130GB of space back on my drive. I don't understand why they would think anyone still uses HDDs to game off of anymore and would rather waste the vast majority of user's drive space for the 2% of gamers that somehow don't use an SSD in 2025. The consoles have SSDs and normal 30ish GB install sizes, the PC should be no different and if they want to support HDD users, then that should have been an opt-in/beta option instead of this. But I guess better late than never.
I just tried out the new Python Commandos Warbond, or at least the new AR on it since that's all the medals I could spend at the moment on it and it's ok so far. Can't wait to unlock the new minigun though to try that out, as it looks super fun to use. I'm not big on the dog backpacks, but may try the hot dog out as well as the Chainsaw on Illuminates or something.
I've pretty much stuck with this game lately through all the stealth nerfs and negative coverage of it and am still really enjoying it. Stability seems to be much improved with the last couple updates as well, as that was horrible after the big Sept update adding the Hive worm and Xbox players to the game when it crashed constantly and would often freeze every 10-15 secs for 2-3 secs at a time until I would restart the game to fix it.
If anyone wants to squad up though, PM me or post your Steam info here if you like.![]()
Whats funny is I believe HD1 has 15 difficulties, I honestly wish they would make the higher end difficulty harder or bring in the last 5 difficulties and make it nearly impossible to complete without top notch teamwork. One thing thats interesting to me is that difficulty 6 ends up being harder than 10 most times because of the way they handle spawns and enemy allotments that Diff 6 ends up being a swarm of chaff with good heavy backups.Man I loved this game but they really changed it overtime. It had some issues at the start don't get me wrong, but they bent their knee and catered to players who though the in-game propaganda was real and wanted to be a super soldier one man army.
By the time I got a nice PC/TV and was excited to try out the game on max in HDR, I just can't get into it anymore. The game isn't hard anymore despite offering 10 difficulties. Why can't they just keep one difficulty hard for us ;-;
It is also super buggy, but it seems they are working on that. I just hope they add another difficulty or IMO they should condense them down. I think 10 difficulties is overkill, especially when they just keep nerfing the hardest difficulty.

Loving the new warbond and the shotgun in the superstore (double freedom), the chainsaw sword has a learning curve to it but the first time you saw a chargers leg off it becomes very fun lol. Havent unlocked the maxi gun yet but the hot dog is legit pretty awesome too.
Walking barrage with smokeHELLDIVERS 2 | Celebrate The Festival of Reckoning
I never used smoke until these recent 15 minute Rapid Acquisition bot missions where you have to extract the bars of metal ore. These missions have non-stop back to back bot drops, so the only way to get it done is constant smoke so you can just move through the bots and only kill the ones within a few meters. It's the most intense shit ever, way more than any other defense mission, but also pretty fun if you get a good team that can work together. This is on max difficulty at least.Walking barrage with smokeI love running smoke this is perfect
New Redacted Regiment Warbond drops today along with some changes to the game to enhance stealth gameplay, and adding some kind of new stealth mission type where you have to take out objectives without reinforcements or air support.

I've been playing regularly still, so will def be checking this out tonight.
If you have the Halo SOCOM pistol from the Halo warbond, that has the same "Supressed" property listed on it....but I don't know if any others are.Hell yea that looks fun. Do you have to buy the warbond to get the stealth tech or are there other silenced weapons?
Also lol at the c4 to the face
I think this would be the biggest barrier to trying anything stealth....though my group really doesn't do stealth, so they were extra tough.
