Just so you know, the R710 doesn't support LRDIMMs (load-reduced, which are different from low voltage). I found this out the hard way. Free bump!
 
I have a R720 with about 384GB of RAM. I could probably spare 128GB of that, let me see how many dimms are in it.
 
I can check my server in the morning, I may have a bunch of unused and/or spares.
