Yes, I'm enjoying this monitor very much so. I got it workting perfectly with G-sync with the 1660 ti in my laptop. I had to buy a legit Club 3d Displayport to mini displayport 1.4 cable. Fixed any flickering problems i had. The colors good and I enjoy the 32" size. The 1440p is enough dpi the image still looks sharp. I don't use the HDR since it's just HDR400. I use DisplayCal and it is 100% sRGB and 123% sRGB volume. 90% PC-D3 color about 87% Adobe rgb

I think for $320 on sale it's the best monitor in that price range. There is no ghosting or smearing like on another VA it's very similar to the Samsung G7 but not as fast response times and little worse colors or brightness i believe the G7 gets alot brighter

That sounds amazing, I got mine for 320 as well, can't wait until it gets here. I built a computer for my mother and I'm giving her my HP Omen 32 for her to browse the web with haha. Going from 75 hz VA to 165 hz va is going to be excellent.

You will really enjoy this monitor then. It will be a big upgrade for you. It can do 10bit color and has a wide color gamut.

I just got it tonight, been playing games for about 3+ hours. Easily the best experience I've ever had with a monitor. There's definitely ghosting but it's not the end of the world (it's very minimal, almost no existent). If you can manage 165 fps it's buttery. Freesync turned on automatically with the 3060 ti, I'm completely blown away. Windows Desktop with HDR on looks hilariously bad, but if you get into a game with good HDR support it looks excellent, certainly an upgrade over the standard picture. I'm not sure what optimal settings are for the black balancer, but I had to set it at 0 to get the game having silky smooth blacks.

hey are using a Club3D certified 1.4 dp cable with your g-sync turned on? What you need to do next is calibrate the display. You need to get either a Spyder X pro or x-rite display pro and install Displaycal. I don't even turn on HDR on this monitor I just use sRGB. HDR400 is not really worth it. This is a really good monitor to use in a dark room. It has a native contrast of 3000:1 and really good black uniformity. No IPS glow or blooming. I don't notice any real ghosting make sure you are using the right cable.

Isn't 4K / 120hz the limit of HDMI 2.1? 4K / 144hz would also exceed what a single Display Port cable could handle until Display Port 2.0 becomes available, correct? My Acer monitor is capable of 4K / 144hz, but to achieve 144hz it requires 2x Display Port cables and loses any G-SYNC/FreeSync capabilities due to two separate cables being used.

After a bit of reading no there is no limit (you can do 10 K at 120 hz after all), there is a list of must be supported format to be able to be called HDMI 2.1 and you do not need to support more than 120hz at 4K to get the right to use the name, but possibly an hdmi 2.1 output using an hdmi 2.1 cable on a hdmi 2.1 monitor could do 4K 240 hz I would imagine (or much more with compression), until it does not go above the 40 something gbits something limit. A bit like it can do 1440p on some case (not all) without being an resolution officially supported by hdmi 2.1

I could be completely wrong, but I think 4K 240hz is fully possible if desired (by all the hardware involved are desiring to do so).

For example some monitor did 240 hz 1080p on HMDI 2.0:

But you didn't had to support that frequency at 1080p to be called an hdmi 2.0 monitor I think.
 
I'm nowhere near familiar with this space, but I don't think there are Display Port or HDMI cables currently available that are even close to being capable of supporting the bandwidth necessary for something like 4K / 240hz in 10-bit color right now. Your example of 1080p / 240hz is not a like comparison, as the bandwidth required to achieve that is quite low; it was already achievable back with Display Port 1.2 which maxed out at 21.6 Gbps.

At 10 bits would need compression (has you are going at 40 Gbps uncompressed at 120hz already at 240hz it would require 72 Gbps), under DSC I imagine you can comfortably. Now I have no idea if that is relevant for a gaming monitor.

I think the 3090 was able to shoot via hdmi 2.1 a 60 hz at 8K signal on a tv, that would be 80 gbps uncompressed at 10 bits and 64 gbps at 8 bits, I am almost certain it used a compression to do so, seem so according to that linus video:

Yes I'm using a proper 1.4 cable. I don't really notice it in game, but you can see it on blur busters. It looks incredible, I have absolutely 0 complaints. I do think HDR 400 looks better in game when games support it, you have to use the Desktop mode only. I'll have to buy a calibrator. Oh ok yeah blur busters definately I agree with you 100% there. It's slight blurring but not really noticable when gaming or using the monitor. You would have to either get a TN or pay 200-300 $ more for it to be a little quicker and not do that on blur busters. For $329 this monitor is fantastic ! I will give HDR a try. I just don't really understand how their Auto HDR mode works or how it detects the games? I will read that article.
 
I bought the LG 32GK650F-B at Microcenter on sale for 299$

32 inches, NO HDR, 10bit color, 144hertz, 1440p, Gsync works on it, VA panel using display port. And it's not curved. I really do not like curved monitors. I think it looks odd. For 299$ it's a nice monitor. I have it sitting next to my 27GL850-B LG. Really good monitor for the price.

Damn i didn't see that one ! I'm pretty happy with the Dell the curve is very slight and it's huge 32". I almost feel like the curve is needed on a large display

The dell is the better panel, higher refresh rate, better responsiveness. I think LG is in the process of replacing that panel with a 165hz version. I just went from 32 inch flat, to 32 inch curved and I don't mind it at all.
 
Rumors now suggesting that fast refresh 32 inch 4ks won't be available till the second half of 2021
 
Also - TFT looks to have a (currently paywalled) review of the Asus!

tftcentral have a list of quiet a few high refresh mini LED panels scheduled for early 2021. Granted not all are 4k models.

That monitor is no longer 329. It's 450$ at Best Buy now. Refurb of it is 404$ there too. Performance isn't cheap.

Per my edit in the OP - I can't find it again. I had a ton of windows open and initially quoted the wrong article. By the time I realized it - I'd lost it. However, the glass shortage and AU O's CEO comments on Digitimes are not giving me confidence about January
 
I caved recently and got the lg cx48 because I couldn’t find a 4k120hz+ monitor with hdmi 2.1. I like it but 48” is way too big for me and I would replace it as soon as a 32” 4k120hz+ hdmi 2.1 monitor came along with good reviews.

When I started this journey - the LG was a great (perhaps the only) option for large screen, high refresh rate 4k gaming; but I really looked hard at how I use my computer and decided that 48 really was too big. I fixated on 32 as the optimal 4k 'monitor' size, despite some claims that it's pixel density is perhaps a bit high for normal Windows use. FYI - PCMonitorsInfo's reviewer really likes the 4k 32 experience, and disputes that the ppi of a 4k 32 is too dense. Given that no 32 inch IPS currently offers above 60hz, I'm forced to wait for what I want.

Also - FYI: the HDMI 2.1 might be a sticking point or cause for some of the delay. The panel makers (Like ASUS for example) do not seem keen to 'overbuild' their monitors - and some may not offer HDMI 2.1 (see TFT's article) but should have DP 1.4. So if HDMI 2.1 is your goal, be sure to check that out.

In your case: if/when you do get a 32 inch monitor - at least you still have a great TV for other uses!
 
Is the next iteration of display port a pipe dream or? I'm more interested in that than HDMI 2.1.

The VA version is supposely around 600 euros so hopefully this IPS isn't priced at too much of a premium above that. I've seen monitors in the past sell at pretty close direct conversions from euros so somewhere around $600 for the VA version and hopefully $700 for the IPS.

Current Pro Art - while fantastic (and $4k) is only 60hz AFAICT.

I think Decko87 is talking about the PA32UCG which is the ProArt version of the Asus PG32UQX and Acer x32 with some differences (max refresh rate 120Hz only, freesync/Gsync compatible 48-120Hz, TB3 port as an option).

Also, I’d really like to know where you heard about the delay of the these 32” Gsync ultimate monitors. Been really looking forward to them.

As I mentioned above (and I am really looking forward to them as well) -- I had a ton of windows open and had been reading leak sites all over the place. There was one - I think quoting DigiTimes that suggested that panel production was slipping into later 2021 than we hoped for (early Q1). I grabbed what I thought was the relevant quote, posted it, and then shut down the comp to go run errands. Later, when I checked the post again on my phone I realized I'd pasted the wrong quote -- so I deleted it, with the apology.

That said - I have found and posted the link about the glass shortage and the (paywalled) DigiTimes article quoting AU O's CEO. See https://www.digitimes.com/news/a20201217PD205.html This may not affect Phillips or LG - but might delay Asus, Acer and ViewSonic (which all use AU O panels, I think).

Edit: I'd certainly love to win the lottery and get that ProArt version as well!

Hmm, oh well. Yeah these 4K FALD HDR monitors are all AUO panels. Just gonna have to keep waiting. Thanks for the link.
