Good stuff. GPU prices have been dropping already , assuming due to the fact people that have been holding out finally have their hands on new GPU's.. along with "crypto" tanking slightly..
We should see further price drops when those "Trump tariffs" are cut..
Who will be the holdout though to cut last: EVGA?

This is cool and all but, unfortunately, seems to be offset by significantly increasing inflation, at least in our daily purchases.

This year maybe. There's always inflation and it varies wildly over history. The tariffs though are always on and you always pay for it, so I'm glad to see them go.

evga is already pretty cheap if not cheaper tan everyone else at least from them directly. only place selling a 3060 for 429. Lucky to see one under 500 elsewhere.

Now the problem is: Do you pay $800 or $1200 for a GPU that is 2 years old and about to be replaced by 4000 series Nvidia cards...................

The answer to that is they can suck my toes... that way my heel will be in like with their throat.

Kind of surprised this hasn't been talked about yet because we were all paying more because of it.

GPUs are included in recent tariff relief of some Chinese goods. Asus is the first to announce price cuts.

https://www.pcmag.com/news/asus-to-lower-gpu-pricing-by-up-to-25-after-us-lifts-trump-era-tariffs
Operative word is "upto 25%" which can be anywhere from 0% to 25%

Taco Bell.
We are going to need the drop in price on those tarrifs just to afford to eat at Taco Bell.
But Taco Bell isn't a luxury dining experience, nor part of the dark cyberpunk future that we are living in... oh wait. :borg:
