GASP!This may come as a complete shock, but SQ42 has been delayed 3 months....
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/1/thread/staggered-development-faq-1
Out or curiosity, how has it taken CIG 3 years to polish SQ42 since Chris Robert's said he had played through the entire game and in October 2016?
... I just want to play another space game... geeze
"Ultimately, this is a really good thing forprolonged squeezing of the whales and blind fanboys to fund our coke needsSquadron 42PS skills improvementdevelopment as well.
Primarily because it's entertaining. Also to remind myself of own stupidity of spending close to $500 on a known failure of a game producer, and on a game in general. And to study the depths of human delusion, sunken cost fallacy and to laugh at those affected.I don't know why you willingly read through threads about games you have no intentionor businesspurchasing.

This...if this game came out tomorrow fhinshed and they never made it so pay to win with all the ships I would buy it in a heartbeat....but now with how many 100s of millions in ships flaying around on day one not a chance in hell. Hell if they had a server with no real money ships in it I would probably still buy it.Actually I imagine that many of the game's detractors would purchase the game if it was ever actually released with anywhere near the quality and content promised. Chris Robert's company would have my money in a heartbeat if they actually had something worth buying. It wouldn't make any of the criticism he is currently getting invalid.
In addition to that, even if the detractors had already made a decision not to buy that doesn't mean there isn't a reason to talk about the game and laugh at those who think the situation is OK. Whether it's purely for entertainment purposes or they hope that some people might be persuaded to stop enabling Robert's actions, however slim that hope might be. I also still read articles about hardware that's out of my budget or tech that is still years away from being on the market. I read about what happens in other places even though I might have no influence over it and it doesn't affect me anyway.
If they released a better looking, more in depth no mans sky, I would pay $100 for it tomorrow.

It's not our fault the only thing this game provides in abundance are delays and various other development failures, thus making it the focal point in its thread discussion. That's great, I was nicely telling you to leave the thread if you are part of the gigantic circle jerk of "hurrr durr game is nevar gunna be released guyz!!! derp derp".
Since a lot of you continue to post here and ruin this thread, I'll take initiative and create a circle jerk thread for all of you.

To be fair there is plenty of regular news associated with this game and the development, should you choose to read it. Folks can also post screenshots, etc.
I have to agree with st4rk to some extent, the thread has been mostly highjacked by trolling at this point.
Lets be honest this is a more troll worthy trainwreck than Anthem ever was.
I think we can all agree that this game is special. Just for the wrong reasons. It may be, but this thread isn't really the place for it. Were this any other game, people would be getting banned.

Yes, it is the place. This game's development, funding, fanbase, and everything else around it merit regular and often pointing out as the worst example possible. It is to be ridiculed and criticized so that we never get a repeat of such abomination and that it doesn't kill the crowdfunding idea and prospects for future game projects from honest developers. This game and CIG are cancer. It may be, but this thread isn't really the place for it.
Were this a game, but a scam factory, I would've possibly agreed with you.It may be, but this thread isn't really the place for it. Were this any other game, people would be getting banned.
"I wasted $500 on this game, so I'm going to bash it non-stop for the rest of enternity!" Got it, thanks. I'm not even saying you aren't making good points, but damn. I've barely posted in this thread since 2015. About four times a year in short bursts."I wasted $500 on this game, so I'm going to bash it non-stop for the rest of enternity!" Got it, thanks. I'm not even saying you aren't making good points, but damn. Give it a rest already.

And since this is out in the public PTU now, here is the RSI Mantis which introduces player initiated quantum interdiction gameplay.
The ship can pull anyone traveling within 20Km out of quantum travel once its Quantum snare is activated/fully charged plus it will create a quantum dampening zone in a 2Km radius around the ship preventing anyone (including itself) from using their quantum drives.
Here's a quick look of me messing around with it.
