Samsung keeps printing money at a record pace. They posted record third quarter profits based upon sales of their memory chips and analysts are saying they may even to better in the fourth-quarter. This sounds really good for Samsung share holders, but I'm not so sure it's good for the rest of us since memory prices continue to climb. Come on, Samsung, increase capacity faster so we get some price relief.

The world's biggest maker of memory chips, smartphones and television sets said the memory chip "supercycle" of tight supply and strong demand was set to continue as servers and mobile devices require ever greater processing capacity.

And here is the proof that this morally bankrupt (but ironically much loved in this forum) company are manipulating availability and price of DRAM for their own ends.

If only there was some legal mechanism to report them for colluding and artificially controlling the market!

At least the forum folk here love them so much, so its ok Samsung do this.

What a surprise they screw us the consumer and report record profits. At times it's really hard to like capitalism.

When a bunch of megacorporations get in bed together to institute price fixing and/or purposeful supply limitations, that's not competitive free market Capitalism, that's statist Corporatism.
