It's basically OOS most places now, I guess we'll see if they restock...

It'll be back. THey spent a lot of time getting it ready, they'll sell every one of them they can make if they get the chance. It's basically OOS most places now, I guess we'll see if they restock...
Even a skeptic like me bit on that price/bundle/chase freedom 5%(PayPal). We'll see what all the fuss is about.Newegg also has it for 329 and with the Uncharted game bundle for free. Changed from 444 or so this morning to that nice price
My thoughts on that - it kinda looks like they're clearing out stock. If you don't have an issue buying used, you could probably get it cheaper in a year.currently on a 3600. Was going to wait for it to drop even more in a year or so. Am I dumb?

You can also sell you ryzen 3600 to offset the cost of buying 5800x3d.I still plan on having this system for a couple of years. I have 6800 gpu. Don’t plan on upgrading anything else for a couple of years. So maybe $329 isn’t that bad.
Plus a motherboard, and maybe ram ram on an old card like that may be a bit on the slow side so you'll be upgrading a bit.I still plan on having this system for a couple of years. I have 6800 gpu. Don’t plan on upgrading anything else for a couple of years. So maybe $329 isn’t that bad.
Sorry I meant AMD RX6800. Got it only a year ago. Is it considered old already? Waiting on amd’s offering with 7xxx seriesPlus a motherboard, and maybe ram ram on an old card like that may be a bit on the slow side so you'll be upgrading a bit.
oh dur, my bad, I see I even quoted a part that said 6800 gpu, my mind instantly went Intel CPU for some reason. That said, nah it's not old, it's a solid cardSorry I meant AMD RX6800. Got it only a year ago. Is it considered old already? Waiting on amd’s offering with 7xxx series
But why? 5900x3d incoming?Boy, AMD really is trying to offload this stuff. I wonder how much longer these will be in production, or if once these are sold off at this price if it's done.
Really doubtful. The '3D cache' manufacturing capacity is going to have to shift to the 7 series. But why? 5900x3d incoming?
I'm banking on the 3D holding more value than current AM5 mobos and DDR5, which should tank heavily. Should tide me over for quite a while. There's a halo around these 3Ds. And with the AM4 platform likely to go down as one of the most-established motherboard generations ever, I get the vibe that the 3Ds are going to hold value really well.
It absolutely is not. There are no new CPUs of any kind coming for AM4, let alone another 3D-cache.But why? 5900x3d incoming?
That'd be good. I just pulled the trigger on the 5800x3d from AMD. Couldn't resist, and the 3900x still resells for around 200, so I'm pretty stoked. It absolutely is not. There are no new CPUs of any kind coming for AM4, let alone another 3D-cache.
I agree. I don’t think the current non-3d cache 7 series will hold value well. Everyone is waiting for the 3d cache versions, and for gaming the 5800x3d is as good if not better anyways.I'm banking on the 3D holding more value than current AM5 mobos and DDR5, which should tank heavily. Well AMD definitely has a different mindset than Nvidia or Intel on these matters... new generation coming, lets crash the price to get rid of old stock instead of "well they paid for it during the pandemic why not now?"Boy, AMD really is trying to offload this stuff. They are moving tons of these things. Newegg had stock yesterday as well at this price, and it went pretty fast.Out of stock on AMD now. Glad I didn’t wait
Buddy tried to order at bhp…went oos before he could finishThey are moving tons of these things. Newegg had stock yesterday as well at this price, and it went pretty fast.
if you’re doing more than just gaming I’d grab the 5900xi missed it again. dang it
But whats everyones thoughts on this article:

If doing more than gaming a 5800X might be a better buy?
