There is no Face unlock on Pixel 6.Is there a way to forgo fps security and use the face unlock like older OnePlus phones did or still do?

I have the unlocked version of the 6 as well, and yeah the battery is a tank. Makes sense, and 5g connection is almost non-existent at best around here, so it fits.Seems the unlocked version of the normal P6 doesn't have the mmWave antenna in it, which might be why some reviews say the battery life is great and others aren't so happy about it. Mine has been fantastic (I have the unlocked one), so could be why. I don't think I ever picked up a single mmWave signal with my S20+, so I can't say I'm missing anything.
The fingerprint scanner is almost exactly the same as that S20+ (maybe better) so it doesn't bother me.
My gripes have all been related to Android 12. Frankly, I'm just not a fan of it. For a phone that's trying to be closer to iOS (things just work), there are too many instances where you have to learn where something is hiding, how something operates, or what something even means. Plus, the new widgets are just plain lousy. They're aesthetically out of wack (they don't match one another), they're huge, they don't size correctly, and I have yet to see one that offered new functionality. I get that Google is working on it, but they've been working on Android 12 for a long time. They usually roll out new versions in the summer.
Regarding A12; totally agree. It's like learning an entirely new OS. Setting up Nova Prime really helped relieve a lot of that annoyance so far
What's amusing is that when I was looking through the Google forums for tips/fixes, their own team members are recommending Nova Launcher to those who don't like the way A12 functions. I know they're working on some things, but it's giving off a Windows 11 vibe at the moment.
Just for testing, is there a way to disable the fingerprint scanner, and passcode, and just pick up the phone and swipe up to enter to the home screen?

Anyone else get free Pixel Buds? Ordered and received my P6 from the Google Store and they just sent me a coupon for free to Buds. Pretty cool!
I'm primarily an iPhone user, but on both platforms I use dark mode whenever I can. Much easier on the eyes if the lighting is anything less than perfect, and it wrings out a little more battery life on OLED phones. How many run dark mode 100% all the time, vs sometimes light theme? Or even always light mode?
I use dark all the time, too. Light just looks too bright on my phone now.How many run dark mode 100% all the time, vs sometimes light theme? Or even always light mode?

Mine shipped today. I'm not a headphones/earbuds guy, so I'm gonna sell them.Anyone else get free Pixel Buds? Ordered and received my P6 from the Google Store and they just sent me a coupon for free to Buds. Pretty cool!
Nothing I've noticed so far. A few times, however, it looked like an app or letter "activated" just before I actually touched it on the screen. Hasn't occurred regularly so it's kinda hard to be sure.Is there any downside to the increased touch sensitivity option? Does it cause more accidental touches or something?
With any security on a screen it will manually lock for safety if the device hasn't been used in X amount of time. It's been like that for a long time. I do wish we had control over it though as SmartLock seems to make it kind of random.I have PIN and fingerprint, with smart unlock on. I've been getting the occasional "device was locked manually" prompt when I wake my phone. Can't use fingerprint to unlock either, PIN required. I've tried turning off smart unlock (which is always spotty anyways) but to no avail.
Seems like some other p6 and pro users have this issue as well. Any [H]ard thoughts?

Anyone here have both the 6 Pro and 6? Curious size wise and comfortability. To me this 6 Pro is on the extreme large size, and the curved edges make it look weird or like extra thick or something. Looks too much like a Samsung phone which is terrible.
Almost contemplating getting the Pixel 6 see if I like the smaller size and flat screen?
Size wise and comfort, my Pixel 4 XL is darn near perfect to me. Just the best size and easy to hold.

I've been getting that with Smart Lock on.every Android phone I've owned for years. Sometimes it happens just minutes after I've already unlocked my phone. Never found a fix or workaround for it.
