That's a date I can believe more vs the September 13.Recent news stated the Pixel 6 line to be officially unveiled on Oct. 28th, which makes sense as the Nexus / Pixel line always comes out end of Oct / early Nov.
Update: Preorder on October 19th, available on the 28th...I'm returning my 5a and will give the P6 a try. Looks like it might be launched as early as September 13.

Comparison between Pixel 5a and Pixel 6;

We can expect the 6 to be faster and smoother performing than the 5a, but by how much is unclear, as Google is planning on using an in house chip design this time around, and no one has leaked performance on the thing, except to say that it probably wont be as fast as Qualcomms top end Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100.
The 6 does not look like it has a fingerprint sensor. That may not be a big deal for some, but since I have no interest in face unlock, it's kind of a dealbreaker for me.
Aesthetics are certainly subjective, but I have to say, I find the 6 to be rather ugly with it's mask-like camera-bulge. Reminds me of a flat "Among Us" character. Orange-Coral is Sus.
You'd like the huge increase in price with the 6 to make it a clear winner in every regard, but that just isn't the case to me for my use case. which is why I jumped on the 5a as soon as it launched.
https://www.tomsguide.com/news/goog...l-fingerprint-scanner-and-im-going-to-miss-itI think it's an inscreen fingerprint sensor. Personally, I see no reason to deviate from the tried and true rear sensor that has worked perfectly for me since Nexus times.

I like the idea of an on screen scanner as long as it works as well as the rear scanner.
It does not sadly. They are getting better but I still prefer the rear scanner. Its so natural. Also if the screen gets cracked around that area your SOL..https://www.tomsguide.com/news/goog...l-fingerprint-scanner-and-im-going-to-miss-it

Regular 6 will be flatMy current phone is the Pixel 4XL.
My wishes are there there will be a flat screen Pixel 7 flagship for me to purchase.
Yes that is true. My preference though is to wait for the next Pixel flagship to be released, and have it be with a flat screen. Hopefully the Pixel 7 will have a flagship and hopefully it will have a flat screen. Both are alot to hope for.Regular 6 will be flat

Google's next flagship soon to be released is the Pixel 6 Pro. It has a curved screen.Flat as opposed to what?
Are there curved screen phones I have missed or something?

I went beta once on my 4A, the last round, and it broke nearly every damn app on the phone. If you want to go back to non-beta, you have to wipe the phone. So you might want to reconsider the outcome of the beta....if it does not work for you.https://www.androidpolice.com/2021/...candidate-beta-5-lands-with-pixel-5a-support/
Oh yeah baby, installing Android 12 beta 5 now on my Pixel 5a, and 4 XL
This screams "road trip to Vegas, baby!!"
I thought my 5A was kind of laggy now and then at first but it took a bit of new muscle memory on how and where exactly to interact with the screen properly. Got over that curve and it has been perfect.I like my 5a but it is slightly just a little bit laggy once in awhile, whereas my 4 XL is always smooth never lags.
