Pixel 3 Lite Spy Photos Show a 3.5mm Headphone Jack and Snapdragon 670 [RUMOR]

Russian tech blog Rozetked has leaked spy photos of the upcoming Google Pixel 3 Lite codenamed "Sargo."Instead of glass, the body of this budget Pixel uses plastic, but it retains the same highly rated camera from the flagship models. The processor in the smartphone is reportedly an 8-core Snapdragon 670, made on a 10 nm process and uses the Adreno 615 graphics chip. 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage are available, but there is no microSD slot. Of course the big deal is the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack and the low price of $400 - $500 compared to the $999 flagship models. The screen is a 5.56-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels - 444 dots per inch. Many details and images of the phone are in the article.

Battery capacity 2915 mAh. Information about charging speed is not available, but the installed processor supports Quick Charge 4+. The main camera is one with a resolution of 12 megapixels and a double flash, the front one is 8 megapixels. Considering that our source has already become familiar with the device, there is a verdict - the camera is the same as the regular Pixel 3 and is not inferior in quality. The expected cost of Pixel 3 Lite is $ 400-500. Perhaps the novelty will be shown at the end of the year or in the first quarter of 2019.
 
I'd seriously consider this if it is true.

The fact that the jack is back is nice, the price is better, and the ginormous ugly notch is absent as well.

Any chance we can have expandable storage and a easily replaceable battery behind a door as well, or is that being greedy? :p

Who cares what the back of the case is made of. Any phone I own is instantly going in an opaque case the second I get it anyway, so that material will never be seen by anyone.

My Pixel 1 is starting to need a replacement battery, but apart from that it is still as good as the day I got it, so I don't really NEED to upgrade, but I'd consider something like this, and I wouldn't consider a Pixel 3, so that's something.

My ideal phone would have the following specs:
- 5" class
- 1080p screen (anything with higher resolution is just a waste)
- Small chin and forehead, but no notch.
- 3.5mm jack with decent voltage output (the Pixel 1 is actually pretty disappointing here, much less output than an iPhone or an LG v20)
- No preference for back material, as long as it is good for wireless signal, heat dissipation, and not fragile
- No preference for stereo vs mono phone speaker
- MicroSD slot
- Tool-less fast battery replacement ( <30 sec )
- Prefer thicker with longer battery life over thinner with shorter battery life

I'd happily pay premium phone pricing for this.

I replaced my Pixel 1 battery a couple of months ago. It wasn't that much, and very much worth it. I was at 85% power every morning by the time I got to the office, now its 99%. I was getting about a half a day with light use.

At this point, I can go all day and be at 60% with about 2 hours of screen time daily.
 
The only options I want are:
  1. vanilla android
  2. decent battery life
  3. 3.5mm headphone port
  4. decent camera
So far my Pixel 1 has been filling those needs, but the battery life is definitely starting to fade. If this is legit I'd rather buy a new phone (with another two-three years worth of security updates) than have the battery replaced.
 
The only thing I care about in a new phone is that I can replace the battery easily and that it had removable storage.

I'm currently in the market for five new phones for my family. The above two items are my current deal breakers. Hence I'm only able to shop around for cheap phones... Weird. It's a bonus isn't it?

Depends. Do you really trust Blu or whatever onehunglo brand to not sell everything you and your family do on your phone to seriously shady folks? No doubt google is selling everything to someone, but I'm betting that half-assed Armenian hackers don't have the budget to play in that ballgame.

I would have to stop using mobile banking, but I'm ok with that. I haven't really begun my cell phone search but I really need to get on that. I'm hoping I can find a phone that meets my two simple needs without being a Chinese phone

As long as you have Google photos installed you have unlimited photo storage... It's only if you turn off Google's compression that you don't.

Look into Nokia phones. I have a pixel2 and the battery is really suffering now ( 20min to work and the battery has dropped to the 70s). I grabbed a Nokia8 for my wife and getting tired of her QQ. Nokia have always done good camera's and they deviced to only do vanilla android.
The battery is ok as well
 
Too late google.

I wanted a Pixel 3 (the small one) but them starting that line at $800... nope nope nope. Spent $189 on a brand new Moto X4 via amazon since it's Project Fi compatible and have been super happy. It's faster than my Nexus 6P, smaller (good thing), waterproof, USBc, with a decent screen.

The days of plopping down a mortgage payment for a phone... just past all that.
