Pretty much everything about the FTW3 design is terrible. EVGA used to have some of the best looking cards, IMO (rugged looking, functional). They must have turned the FTW3 design over to a whole new team.
I mostly agree with the waves, and the plastic, and the red trim especially, but I do like the light bar. In solid colors it looks good.

It just went live, not in stock. It was 404ing before.

Oh gotcha. I was like man that was unbelievably quick. The TUF was near the top of my list, but the pic on the previous page is somewhat concerning. At this point I'm considering just waiting for the 20 GB cards, as surely all of the technical and supply issues will be resolved by then. Plus we should know what AMD is bringing to the table (I'm hopeful but skeptical). It's disappointing but at the end of the day it's just a video card. This launch has been a cluster for various reasons and the waiters will probably end up being in the best spot.

Sorry, I confused you with someone else who had earlier commented on component "quality", which is why I was surprised who I'd replied to.
Beer and all that :)
No worries, I did wonder why you were giving me acolade and praise as being held in high regard... I was like "I dunno... I'm pretty stupid when it comes to complex electronics beyond simple RCL circuits"

Dude at this point I'll take one with a picture of my ex on it. I just want one in-hand.

OK as long as you know. My Lian Li Dynamic case is right next to me when I game, I simply have to have a backplate. I also don't want the red lips.

One thing I've noticed with refreshing Nvidia's site is that sometimes the "Out of Stock" label changes from a label to a disabled button. When this happens the site loads slower and the button takes a little while longer to render than the entire page. I wonder if this means that cards are about to come in stock or are coming in and out of stock? Or, it means nothing all.

Just something I've noticed.

I wouldn't even bother with Nvidia's site for now, since it's the site that everyone has their own personal bot pointed at. The step-by-step instructions for doing your own bot have been spammed everywhere.

I wonder if they found a way to block our scrapers/bots. I'm running NVIDIA-snatcher in a VM and never got notified. Either that, or my script crashed.
Case in point re: my previous post. The problem is everybody on reddit is running Nvidia-snatcher now too.

They sometimes serve a captcha page if you've been hitting the site with too many requests. Though, I think that EVGA went OOS in under a minute so it's possible your bot just missed it.

I'd prefer to get the Founders Edition and Nvidia's site is the only place to get it currently. I'm trying to get other models as well but I've never seen the Add to Cart button show up for them (I've seen the Add to Cart button show up on Nvidia's site a few times). Honestly, if I can't get one by the end of this week I'm probably going to throw in the towel and just wait for the 20Gb 3080s and Big Navi.

The 3090 FE is also being sold on their online store.

Almost had an Asus 3090 card and went to check out, only for it to disappear on Amazon.

Just a random refresh on Amazon and got lucky, I guess. Hope it doesn't get cancelled.
Same thing, just got off work randomly checked BestBuy and saw MSI 3080 'add cart'. However, probably had to click 'continue to payment ' 20 times. Probably why I was able to place an order as bots probably fail at this point so thank you Best Buy for having a checkout system so bad it beats bots!

Who needs casinos? With Ampere, need to be lucky to win a card and still pay money. Someone should do a chrome plugin to make store pages load like slot machines.

I keep seeing Newegg stuff saying Add to Cart but it never actually adds, just says it's already out of stock when I click the button.

Apparently its a bug if you're talking about the 3080 TUF on Newegg.

I've never seen the Add to Cart button show up on any Newegg 3080 page. To me it's basically a unicorn.

I've seen it show up on that one and the Gigabyte one a couple of times. I think the TUF OC showed up recently as well. But yeah, never able to actually add to cart.

Got confirmation I’ll get my card October 11th. I ordered it the 27th on amazon. Gigabyte 3080 eagle, I really wanted a evga card but I guess I have to take what I can get since I don’t want to wait forever.

Best Buy and Newegg both got me numerous times with the site crashing when I went to checkout. Anyone that gets a card from there is really lucky
