This is nothing. I have a couple of co-workers who revealed to me that GPS actually stands for Ground Positioning System. For it to work as good as it does, governments routinely spray aluminium in the atmosphere to improve conductivity or whatever. Sounds a lot more expensive than launching satellites but do I know about this stuff?

GPS is more than just satellite nowadays. Well, cellphones anyway. They use cell towers and satellites and in some cases WiFi to locate you.

Valid. What do you think those trails are that come off the back of airplanes? All the airliners do it.

Yes. Governments had this plan laid out about 40 years ago. Start small using a ground based system, tell everyone it's satellites, while expanding the move to a mesh like network ground based system. I mean, it's not that crazy but yeah...

That's really what they think? I mean, It is plausible but not the case. Your co-workers are special people. Give them a ribbon.

Oh god, don't get me started on them!
A customer came in with proof the government is weaponizing the atmosphere on his smartphone.
I swear I should go into the tinfoil hat business, at least design some shirts mocking these people.

If this was faked it would have leeked by now. The USSR would have found out ect.

Its one of those things where each side will believe what they want. If Russia said that would the believers believe Russia? Hell no, it would be called another propaganda by them. Do I believe they went to the moon? Yea! Do I believe they could have faked it? yea very possible I mean with that quality it is always hard to tell lol.

I shit you not, I once had a grade 10/11 student who really ... really believed the Apollo 18 movie was real found footage of actual events. She would not believe that it was all fiction even after I asked her how the footage was retrieved when the Soviet LK crashed into the freedom command module at the end of the movie.

both FE and moon conspiracies are great exercises. People here might be a little more science-y(i guess), but the vast majority of people who think FE and moon landing fakers are idiots cannot themselves explain how they know the earth is round or provide simple counter-arguments to the "flaws" pointed out in the moon landing. They just trust what they have been taught, or just go with the crowd, or divert to experts- and that is bad.

You mean like using a telescope to view other planets rotating, showing those planets are globes?

The Hubble Deep field pic is fake too. There are no such thing as galaxies. It's just dirt on a telescope lens....

We went to the Moon because we littered 6 sites with our space junk. The reason we aren't going back any time soon is because it is too expensive to go... we have to pay for all of the freeloaders instead.

I bet NASA sends some more astronauts to the moon just to have people protest on Earth.

Yeah, it's totally people on welfare and not endless war and the military industrial complex that are keeping us from further space exploration.

Do you also look at both sides of the flat earth debate? Or vaccines? It's ok to summarily dismiss the opposition if their stance is complete and total absurdity. We dont need to give "both sides" equal opportunity in some cases.
At risk of going off topic a wee bit...

Flat Earther no. I’ve been at sea where you can see no land, and I’ve flown a few dozen times, even internationally, I own a small 140mm telescope, and have looked through big observatory telescopes. I can dismiss flat earth theories with my own experiences. And yes some things in life can be summarily dismissed by your own experiences. But is landing in the moon so simplistic it can be summarily dismissed?

Vaccines, my wife has seriously looked into as a very cautious and educated parent(it’s not uncommon at all for the doctors to tell my wife it seems she knows more about a subject than they do), and you might want to look into vaccines too if/when you have kids. I don’t think that falls into consipiracy theory, but educated health decisions. Those vaccines are all tested individually, but we don’t take them individually. They are grouped for convienience, and as heard before the Senate in the last few years on multiple occasions the grouping of these vaccines has not been studied. And there are some interesting “coincidences” that seem to come from these groupings. IE not that vaccine A, B, C, or D causes Autism, but that kids injected with vaccine A,B, C, and D at the same time have a X% higher rate of Autism documented than kids that weren’t.

Armed with that knowledge, our family lets our kids get the vaccines one at a time for safety. More visits to the Dr, yes, but worth the effort in our estimation.

———

Unfortunately, it’s not like our country has a squeaky clean past - and thus we can or should blindly trust EVERYTHING the medical professionals tell us.

(These documented cases are almost unbelievable having taken place in our first world nation and you can bet your life there are more that are undocumented.)

What I find more interesting, is the fact that this video is such low frame rate. This is a static scene, not many objects and not much going on in general, and not all of it is raytraced yet it looks like sub 20FPS to me... You can bet that nGreedia used a 2080Ti or better, so...???

Easy to believe they faked the first landing to beat Russia and went later. Have we been to the moon? Of course we have but when exactly? ;)

So we now have proof that Nvidia made the fake video and sent it back in time once we crack time travel and sent it back to NASA.

This is not true. The following vaccine combinations have been tested:

  • Rotarix was tested with Pediarix (DTaP-HepB-IPV), Prevnar, and Hib
  • Prevnar 13 was tested with DTaP, IPV, hepatitis B and Hib
  • Prevnar 13 was tested with MMR, Varicella, and hepatitis A
  • MenC with DTaP-IPV-HepB-Hib
  • MenC with MMR
  • MMR and Varicella with Hib, Hepatitis B, and DTaP
  • hepatitis A and hepatitis B with either MMR or DTaP-IPV-Hib
  • Flumist with MMR and Varicella
  • Kinrix (DTaP-IPV) with MMR and Varicella
  • HPV9 with Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines
  • Tdap with influenza vaccine
  • Meningococcal vaccine with influenza vaccine
And even after a vaccine is added to the immunization schedule and it is given together with other vaccines, our post-licensure vaccine safety monitoring systems, from VAERS to the vaccine safety datalink, kick in to make sure that they are indeed safe and effective.

Some people have falsely claimed they are not tested together such as Dr. Bob Sears on Fox & Friends.

We can't go back because we lost the technology, and accidentally burnt all the films which they could watch for information. Then we have to figure out how to get through the Van Allen Belt.

The first video doesnt support your statement or its title at all. The second one I am not sure what he was referring to, it would be nice to have actual facts rather than a random statement.

I could get us to the moon with enough funding. But nobody will pay to get me off this rock. Maybe I should start a gofundme and see just how many of you here hate me enough to pay me to leave the planet ;)

The only link between Autism and vaccines was created by the sorry bastard that faked a study for money. https://www.webmd.com/brain/autism/do-vaccines-cause-autism#1

Their are NO credible studies linking Autism and vaccines. none. coincidence is just that. Correlation does not imply causation.

I just rewatched HBO's From the Earth to the Moon. Great series that covers most of the moon landings. It doesn't cover everything, but it is pretty thorough.

Bryan Cranston as Buzz Aldrin is pretty awesome. Much better Buzz than the one in First Man imo, but still a solid film.

We will go back to the moon eventually.

I think another manned mission to the moon with modern camera equipment would be a wonderful thing streamed live. We got some great photos at least. Many of the Apollo missions actually have a ton of video footage to sift through.

I always found it incredible how many little problems can occur in space travel. One little ball of solder could force an Astronaut to reprogram the LEM, or a lightning strike can cause an Abort, but be saved by 1 guy in mission control who saves the day in the nick of time.

One of the major reasons that people believe the moon landing is fake is the lighting among other reasons: The brightness, for one. The lack of stars in the sky and If the lighting from the sun is only one direction - where's the other source of light?

That's one reason, all the other reasons are that the people who believe it didn't happen are stupid. Oh, Wait, the "where's the other light" group are stupid too. Where's the source for light on earth. Unless you were in a binary star system all the light is provided by your STAR. On the back side of the moon there is no light, only half the moon is illuminated at a time. There is no lack of stars in the sky from the moon. Where would anyone get that idea? The stars are still there during the day on earth but due to our eyes and cameras and films limited contrast ratio we don't see very dim objects near very bright objects.

Well to be fair, and I am being VERY fair here, there is at least a small possibility that we didnt actually land on the moon. Like .01%. So its not like its entirely out of the realm of possible. Now flat earthers...they are just fucking retards.

No, it is 0%. A reflector was placed on the moon in which a laser can be shot and reflected back to Earth. You could test this right now. Conspiracy theories always have HUGE practicality flaws. It would actually be easier to land on the moon than perform the hundreds of thousands of man hours worth of work required to "fake it". Occam's razor.

https://www.sciencefocus.com/the-human-body/why-you-cant-argue-with-a-conspiracy-theorist/

You literally cannot have a rational conversation with these people, as they are incapable of rational thought.
