Haha and of course the persecution complex squad immediately mobilizes right after this postAdvertisers do not like hate speech, which RWNJ / MAGAts confuse with Free Speech.
It is disgusting isn't it.Good to know that child abuse, kill all men and white people must die were among the acceptable things.
Well Elon didn't have a choice, he trolled them and Twitter trolled him back harder, so now he's stuck with it, and to sweeten the deal he owes billions to Saudi oil princes.twitter will go away eventually and be close to worthless. honestly not sure why somebody would pay 44 billion for it. it doesn't make anything...
Not really, the skype patents and tech were rolled into Teams and their communications platforms which in Business are a big deal, and more so in the remote office environment.Microsoft paying $8.5 billion for Skype is a strong contender
More like Microsoft buying Nokia.Microsoft paying $8.5 billion for Skype is a strong contender
Which is like when HP bought Palm?More like Microsoft buying Nokia.
Naa, I'd say AT&T buying DirecTV for $49 billion ($67 billion including debt). Then spinning it off to its own company.Microsoft paying $8.5 billion for Skype is a strong contender
Ha! Jokes on them if you don't turn a profit you don't pay income tax!Lower corporate tax rates in Texas.
4 million a day in losses...Ha! Jokes on them if you don't turn a profit you don't pay income tax!
You could put a lot of AT&T Purchases up there, I'd put the time Warner up as a bigger oof though.Naa, I'd say AT&T buying DirecTV for $49 billion ($67 billion including debt). Then spinning it off to its own company.
I actually think that was a good purchase for them.yes someone finally out did ibm and their 34Billion for RedHat
I can't imagine why the pedophiles at the ADL would want to control Twitter.Let's not get too excited gentlemen. The ADL has told a man that just came off his own money what they "expect" and he has already given into their demands. No "election denial" will be allowed. To me, that is enough to tell the tale. If you cannot question the outcome of an election, it is not a free speech platform. Why does the ADL have the power to tell the richest man in the world what they "expect" from him? Also, look for muh hate speech to include "misgendering" going forward. Nope.
For the record, "hate speech" is clearly free speech.
Right and Left tend to agree against Liberals about capitalism to a point and so on, but it become a bit more complicated when the mobile store, AWS server and anti-DDOS service goes out if the disagree with speech that occur on a platform.Lol?!?!!1
The brief ElonTwitter era has revealed something... the right HATES markets and the marketplace of ideas. There have been ZERO calls from anyone for the government to intervene in Musk's little 4chan experiment with a major platform. Censored liberal sanctuary my ass...
People and advertisers have simply said they want no part of that shit. Like... it's straight up Adam Smith "invisible hand" stuff. What the GOP previously used to jerk off to.
Funny thing is you now have leftists going "free market bruh, I thought this is what you wanted." Turns out free market isn't what they wanted.
People who don't realize that hate speech is free speech don't know what free speech is. There was a time when leftists claimed to understand this.Advertisers do not like hate speech, which RWNJ / MAGAts confuse with Free Speech.
Exactly. I’m not a fan of hate speech, but it is free speech. I also hate the people preaching tolerance who are intolerant of people who are intolerant. Some people are just in their own little world…People who don't realize that hate speech is free speech don't know what free speech is. There was a time when leftists claimed to understand this.
This is not an endorsement of hate speech. But there's no need to protect uncontroversial speech.

“There’s only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures and the Dutch.” "intolerant" triggered it....Exactly. Hate speech is like a child having a tantrum. It’s only effective if people engage with it. Like a child sent to their room, hate speech dies when the other side doesn’t fight back. Disengage long enough and it moves back to the slow simmer that is the cesspool of low lives and racists.“There’s only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures and the Dutch.” "intolerant" triggered it....
hate speech is free speech, people should just walk away and let it die
Also, a lot of people have redefined hate speech to mean "stuff I don't want to hear."Exactly. I’m not a fan of hate speech, but it is free speech. I also hate the people preaching tolerance who are intolerant of people who are intolerant. Some people are just in their own little world…

If you read the rules, you’d know they aren’t.so these forums aren't free speech compliant?
Remember that this is a privately owned and operated forum. The first amendment/freedom of speech does not apply here.
wow, so it's not a government agency - that sounds eerily familiar to a certain bird company
It's a relatively bad faith interpretation of freedom of speech, if you ask me. All speech, particularly online, falls under some sort of jurisdiction somewhere. With that in mind, freedom of speech doesn't exist at all if you view it through the lense of that loophole. The recent case with Kiwifarms makes this obvious. It's worsened by the fact that the line between private and public is extremely blurry. Private companies love to cooperate with the government. With that in mind, the distinction between public and private becomes superficial relatively quick and makes it convenient to sweep any thoughtful, critical discussion in with "rulebreaking", "trolling", "Russian bots", etc.If you read the rules, you’d know they aren’t.
I hear hes now trying to get people back that were fired
Not necessarily. Musk is nothing if not an impulsive man who makes sweeping decisions he has to (at least partly) reverse as his dreams clash with reality. See the whole "free speech utopia" myth we've been discussing here. It's entirely possible that he had grand visions of a lean headcount, only to realize that Twitter actually hired those people for a reason.Likely due to incredibly poor management of said people that had no idea what they really did. Management of the rehired folks are likely to be canned.
People who don't realize that hate speech is free speech don't know what free speech is.
What an idiot. Advertisers don’t take kindly to being held hostage when Twitter is - let’s face it - one of hundreds of competing advertising channels, and one of the comparatively smaller ones. Now Musk is going to spend most of his time slowly wrecking a social media train wreck while Tesla - a company that actually needs his leadership - is struggling to get product out while competitors are looming left and right.
You think this is the problem? Take off your blinders.
Why? Someone censor's lies/hate and says not on my platform/business... That's, well, their business. NO platform has to let you say whatever the fuck you want 'because free speech!'. None.
Lol?!?!!1

The right is implicitly demanding government intervention to control oil prices as well, which seems very socialist. I don't see Exxon volunteering to take a hit on behalf of motorists.
The right has always been about capitalism up until the precise moment capitalism is inconvenient, at which point they become communist until capitalism is the convenient choice for them again.
Almost like the party has 0 principles or convictions and it’s just self serving greed disguised as an ideology...
The addicting nature is bad take away everyone's phones for a day see what happens. Everytime I go into the Walmart lunch room everyone is cramming on their phones. The path of least resistance.
The recent case with Kiwifarms makes this obvious.
