what process would you guys recommend I install RH9 in my separate linux-only hard drive in, i was thinking:

Burn ISOs to 3 separate CDs (one per ISO)
Set BIOS to boot from linux HDD
Reboot
Install 1st RH9 cd
etc., etc.

do you guys think that that is the manner in which I should go about installing? seems like the best to me, but I always like to make sure with knowledgable people who know what they are doing.

Aw, come on now...There's approximately 23049620947610947608713406781476 Linux installation guides on the web. You might try reading a few. Also, I'm certain Red Hat has some good install docs.

Learn to read the documentation. You'll be doing a lot of reading if you plan on doing anything more than basic user stuff with *nix.

Just try it.

you would actually need to set the bios to boot from the cd

Redhat has docs. Google can help you find them.

I don't have a giant picture to post as I'd like to, but...

RTFM.

Start now, please.
