EVGA will take #1. Let's see how long they can hang onto it. [H] is a team that has longevity and that is far more than can be said for EVGA.
Maybe, maybe not.. they have been around for a few years already we wont know what kind of longevity they have or had until they stop completely. Will they stay at this level of production forever? No of course they wont, but [H] probably wont stay this high either. I would wager they probably wont ever dip below 5mil ppd unless there is some sort of catastrophic forum breaking event over there or they end the bucks program.
i call bs, with all due respectI think if they dropped the bucks program EVGA wouldnt drop below 6-8 million unless as you stated there was a catastrophic event. My reasoning is that so many people go to the forum with questions about the graphics cards or motherboards and eventually get interested with folding bc a lot of the helpful people over there are the ones that fold so the noobies get intrigued by the f@h badges and do some more research and join

Would you like to join us?![]()

I dunno, I've been thinking about it for a day or two and now I think even with EVGA bucks gone the EVGA folding team will be around for awhile putting out way more ppd than we put out. We just dont have the active #'s they do.
Dont forget our ppd #'s over the past month are pretty inflated, we have people folding under 33 that normally dont and we also have most our gear straining.
They will lose some ppd and drop down to our level, the big thing will be the lack of new folders, without anywhere near the advertising that bucks brings they'd have a serious slouch in new folders joining, and we all know more folders is the key to being the best, a few people can only carry a team so far

Active numbers only tell part of the tale. There's other factors to consider which aren't readily available such as average PPD per member, or average member tenure (duration of activity), etc. Each team is very different from another and how their members fold is as important, if not more, than how many fold at any given time.I dunno, I've been thinking about it for a day or two and now I think even with EVGA bucks gone the EVGA folding team will be around for awhile putting out way more ppd than we put out. I ain't straining and neither is Tiger.Dont forget our ppd #'s over the past month are pretty inflated, we have people folding under 33 that normally dont and we also have most our gear straining.
I agree to a large extent, however, we must also understand one thing that I had mentioned recently in another thread. The longer they fold and the older their team gets, the greater the core of dedicated long-term folders grows. This nucleus is what drives every team further along in time regardless how many new folders join or fleeting folders flee. Thus, the more that get recruited by whatever means controversial or not, the larger this "committed for the long haul" core becomes, and the more staying power is accrued by their team. They will lose some ppd and drop down to our level, the big thing will be the lack of new folders, without anywhere near the advertising that bucks brings they'd have a serious slouch in new folders joining, and we all know more folders is the key to being the best, a few people can only carry a team so far

I don't know if you can do a search for my remote past posts, but I mentioned not long after I joined this forum that you guys needed to start ramping up back then. I was pretty mich dismissed with EVGA being considered a non entity. Even though it is late in the game, you guys are going flat out to hold us off. Much credit is due. While I am not surprised you could boost production significantly, what does surprise me is the intensity of production on both teams.
There are no losers here, only winners since we all fold for the same reason. During these last 2 months, our 2 teams have produced an incredible amount of work for PG. While I am sure they are a little concerned about the tensions between our teams, they surely applaud the production.
As far as merging teams, or getting others to switch allegiance. Good luck with that. The comeptitive nature of folding creates such a team spirit among members of indiviual teams, it would be like asking Brett Farve to switch over to the Vikings (oh, bad example), OK, Like asking Randy Moss to switch to the Vikings (OK, FAIL there too.)
Keep up the great work, guys. And Punchy, I've got 2 cheese burgers and a large fry with a jumbo chocolate shake waiting for you. I have it packed in bubble wrap and packing peanuts since yesterday. I just need an address to ship it. Should be there by mid week next week if all goes well.
You must be fro Around here somewhere. Where do you live?Forgot that..........i'll ship Punchy a White Castle crave case stuffed with cheeseburgers.

There's definitely a number of people folding for us from other teams temporarily. No doubts about that. It's hard to say how many, though, and even harder to gauge the amount of impact they had on our production. When we posted a thread thanking their contributions, there were some respondents but not as many as I would have imagined. Certainly some have not made themselves known. And on that a big thanks to those helping us over the past few weeks. It is very much appreciated that you took processing time away from your teams and causes to help us out.
Let me edit my above thought, when I said unlike here recently. I didnt mean anything bad about it, just that our numbers latley are a bit inflated since we have people from other teams helping us out.

I believe our ramp has been as much the effort of [H] team members adding their own resources new and old, in addition to temporary folders who have joined because of the giveaways who had not folded for any team prior. It all accumulated over the past couple of months. I'm expecting a drop off after the overtake, unfortunately, but our ramp should resume in earnest due to the change in seasons and to maintain production into the indefinite future. We'll see.
i don't have time to play games.Probably the ramp up is almost all you guys. Which other team or teams had any appreciable drop when you guys started your massive ramp up? I already looked so I know the answer.
He's trying to say that the [H] increase in production is mostly due to [H] members and not people who switched from other teams.i don't have time to play games.
if you're trying to say something, just say it

I checked half an hour ago myself. There seems to be a general slowdown on several teams' stats. Not much but it's noticeable. I attribute this to the dearth of -bigadv availability, big increase in P670x WUs and new less productive GPU2 WUs (P10109), not contributions from those teams to ours. Most of the teams that I've noticed slowdowns we've never even had contact with, and that alone should indicate production drop offs are a result of various causes. That's how I read it too. I checked other teams productions, and didn't see any drop off for them during our race. He's just giving us props and most of the credit.
