When do you have to have all the points accumulated by to get stuff for the Dec 2010 buying period? I just started today. Any chance of getting up to Rockstar in time?
 
Mine comes today, SLI GTX 470s and an i7 970 to play WoW at 1280x1024 until I get my new monitor in a few weeks.
 
Dang... wish I could have gotten in on the deal. Being retired sometimes sucks. Oh well...
 
I was only able to buy one processor which I will keep for myself.
I can buy the SSD but I'm not sure I need it.
 
I wonder how the shipping for this program works, my old roommate works retail in another state and he agreed to do it if I paid for the product and did all the quiz stuff myself, can I ship it to myself or will it have to go to his house? Curious.

You obviously haven't played in a long time. It isn't cryengine 3, but it looks pretty good for an MMO on Ultra settings at high res.
 
Anyone have any idea what the typical shipping time is on orders from this program?
They say 4-6 weeks! I haven't had to wait 4-6 weeks for something since I ordered a spud gun from a comic book!

I bought my R3G open box, came brand new, but there's a trick to it. I only buy open box deals when the motherboard is first released.
A person stands a better chance getting a board from someone that had second thoughts about.
When the board has been on the market for a while, there are plenty of DOA boards being returned without accessories.
This is not a fact, just my method of buying from Newegg.

Well, it said it could take up to 4 weeks to verify my employment after faxing them a paystub, and I heard back in less than a half hour. Hopefully you'll be as lucky ;).
 
members of the forum over there have said the shipping has been pretty fast; nothing specific though.
 
Ordered the 970 last Friday, no shipping confirmation yet. Getting antsy! These guys aren't as quick as Newegg, guess I'm spoiled :p
 
Those of you that logged in for your quick 30k Rockstar status, what are you spending your chips on in the store? I tried to get a V8 CPU cooler but it's oos and might not get restocked. There's a 4pack of games for 25k that looks alright (Assassin's Creed 2, Wolfenstein, Avatar and Napoleon: TW) but nothing I would have actually paid for unless it was something like a Steam sale where they were nearly giving them away. There are other random gadgets, bits of swag, tools, etc.,. Just curious.
 
I ordered this weekend and still haven't gotten shipping info. I was really hoping to have it by Friday but at this point I kind of doubt it. Oh well. Gives me time to get the rest of my water cooling equipment ordered.

Does your status(rockstar) goes away if you spend chips and go under 30K?

I still haven't got a confirmation email either.
 
it weird. I think that it works in batches.
Seems like most people get them pretty quick and then there is a cut-off.
I did see a post on their forums from an admin (or an email from one) saying 4-6 weeks is worst case and they usually try to get them out quicker.

I think if you get a shipment email you are looking at a week from then. *sigh* I hate waiting fro awesomeness.
 
So I seem to be stuck at 29,000 points. Not sure what else I can do to get the extra 1000 I need.

I ordered mine on Dec 6th (9 days ago) and I still haven't seen the shipping notification. They already charged my debit card, and I did received my Civ 5 Steam code right away.

I really want it to be in by Friday so I can update my build. My two new EVGA GTX580 Hydro Coppers are just sitting on my desk at home, taunting me to install them. I need to wait so I just do it all at once and change out my liquids, but getting impatient.

I missed a bunch of stuff in the On Demand section in the Community and Events section. Someone on the previous page linked me to this page and it helped get me over the top.

It seems hit or miss on what batch goes out when. Some guys have gotten theirs within a week and some have waited a couple of weeks. My PC build is spread out on my desk too so I feel your pain. I ordered on the morning of the 13th so its only been a few days but I'm eager to get set up also.
 
Yeah, I just got my motherboard and ram so I am really stoked.
I ordered mine on the 9th.
I will post if I get a tracking # or an email.
 
Finally got my shipping notification, 10 days after ordering. Crappy thing is that it is shipping from China and won't be here til Monday. There go my plans for upgrading my system with my new 580 HC2s and i7-970 this weekend. Getting all this in before Christmas is going to be a real challenge now between work and taking care of the rugrats. Oh well. Just happy its finally shipping.
