Double sided carpet tape. It's not moving. lol It might destroy the finish on the storage unit if taken apart, but then we can just flip it over.

Heh, I've used that stuff in putting together weird ikea combos as well. It's hilarious when it's time to move.

Hi, I had a question about the Ikea Galant corner desk. This may have already been asked, so I apologize in advance.

I'm thinking about picking up an Galant corner desk and was wondering if it was possible to connect it to the Galant rectangle table being sold online (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19852113/#/S69857764).

I know that both ends aren't the same depth so it would have to connect to the 31 1/2" end of the corner desk.

I cant believe this thread is going on 8 years old. Its interesting looking at the first few pages and seeing how much systems have changed since then. I still have my Fredrik and am still VERY happy with it. Keep the pictures coming!

Ikea Fredrik. I will be making this desk bigger in the new year by adding 6 ft barn boards to the top.

Is that a real gun you just keep hanging out there by the trigger guard?

I'd be terrified of shooting myself in the face with it hanging there like that.

Cleared out the room and painted the walls. Also cleaned up the cables a bit.

I have a Jerker, but I am looking for more space. And was hoping to put together a nice corner desk with some length on each side. Seems like the Galant desks they had would have been perfect for a corner piece, then two long pieces attached. Since thats not an option anymore has anyone had experience with the LINNMON line? Seems like I could do the same thing with that LINNMON Corner table top - black-brown - IKEA

My GF's desk uses the Linnmon table top in birch. Think of it as a hollow core door. The outter edge is solid, and the interior is less solid. It's been great for her so far though, held up to daily work from home for months now.

His and hers gaming PCs. Two Ikea Linnmon Table tops 47". I had to cut about 3.5 inches off on the left side to make it fit, but in the end a super cheap desk.

Is there enough room with this? You two aren't battling with your elbows? I'm moving into a small apartment with my fiance and this looks like a great space saver and will work well.

Just the right amount of space. Im a big man, shes tiny. Works out great. We originally had the tower on the floor but too much heat on the legs and hard to clean the floor. This fixes both.

The only studying I do these days is for industry certifications and the problem is not the environment, it's my willpower or lack thereof at times. :)

Hey

I don't know if this forum group is still running but hey ho.
I've just finished sorting my setup out after ordering some Purple LED strips for my monitors.
Back in the end of 2014 I bought myself an IKEA Mikael full size desk including the hutch, glass, keyboard mat and drawers for about £30 used, I then removed the hutch about a year later due to buying a bigger monitor that simply wouldn't fit.
Now I have 2 monitors (BenQ GL2450HM and a Hanns-G HZ221) and some really nice Sony HiFi Speakers (Including a Sony HiFi under the desk).

My PC Specs:
Intel Core i5 750 (Quad Core 2.66GHz)
16GB of DDR3 RAM
1TB Hitachi Drive - OS X
320GB WD Scorpio Blue - Windows
160GB WD Caviar Blue - Internal Backup
1TB WD Caviar Blue - External Backup
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M - Black (I saw someone else a few pages back with this case)

What do you think? Just cleaned it up now :D

(By the way, I'm 15 {16 in March} so this is as good as I can afford)

for being 15 thats a pretty sweet setup buddy. A little bright for my taste. But I would've liked it when I was younger. Turning 30 next month. but good job on the cleanliness.

My Galant is showing its age. Can't tell from the pic, but its got several cracks in the wood. I've been looking for a new desk. Nothing has grabbed me, yet. Might just get a Bekant.

The Bekant actually does look pretty great (the corner variant). I'm looking at desks right now, and am stuck between a few at Staples, and now this one.
