Ideal 32GB RAM kit?

Hey yo. I have a nice B-die 3200 CL14 kit in my current system but I am wanting to grab a 32GB kit. My ask is, before DDR4 goes ++$$ I thought I better grab some as I intend to hand-me-down my older stuff.
Question: What is the go-to solid, good for the price 32GB kit? Yes I would like it to have some flexibility in clocks, so I am assuming a 2X16 3600 CL16 kit is it? Which one if so?
BTW I am running a 5700X and a X370 MB.
What you guyz think here?
 
I've been looking for a 32GB kit too and it seems like 3600 c18 is the sweet spot at ~$75 and another $20 will get c16 but if I'm going to spend that much it seems worth the extra $30 above that to get a 64GB kit. Newegg has a 64BG kit of 3600 c18 Mushkin for $125 or c16 for $145 that are fairly tempting.

I have been meaning to look into how well the older motherboards handle the higher capacities and dual rank memory but with the IMC on the CPU these days it seems like the cpu you have is the bigger factor.
 
i wouldn't get less than 3600 mhz but if you manually tune your system getting a faster kit will give you flexibility on the timings even if you run it lower than it's rated max frequency.

i say that because back when i use to buy corsair memory, i was putting a rig together with some spare parts i had and i bought a vengeance kit thinking it would OC like my dominator platinum kit i had in my main rig or at least close, but no, i actually couldn't get ANYTHING over xmp and believe me i tried because the secondary timings were trash.

so i would say sometimes it may be worth it to spend a few bucks on better quality kit if you're in to performance. that and i was watching a video the other day where they were testing some memory and they were actually getting worse performance with xmp settings than they were running it stock because of some of the timings. if i can find the vid i'll post it here. i thought it was one of buildzoid's videos but i didn't see it when i just looked so may have been somewhere else.

I disagree, 16GB is going to be an issue before a 5700x(or in my case a 5800x3d) will be. I feel like 16GB is already borderline at best, especially if you like to multitask and always have a bunch of stuff open.

Once DDR4 production drops off in favor of DDR5 the prices are going to get much higher and prices actually seem to be creeping up right now so if someone wants to add more it's probably a good idea to not wait too long.

Wow...those are freefall prices on that memory. 1.5V though...yikes.

The 4000c18 kit has 1.4v on xmp profile.
The 4600c19 kit has 1.5v on xmp profile, which is the upper limit of daily usage for ddr4 without fan.

I've tested 1 kit of 16gb gskill 3600c16 (b-die) running daily 4000 14-15-15-15 using 1.65v without fan on top of the ram (airflow coming from 2 intake fan from front chassis), and no error found tested by Aida64 for ~3 hours.

Interesting. I'm kinda just looking for the most solid decent priced kit that is known to be flexible with timings and clock. Of course I would want guaranteed AM4 5000 series compatibility as well. I thought going for a dual rank 3600 CL16 kit would be a solid choice for the price as the low CAS to me shows they probably are decent sticks with some play room.
Just wanting to know if there is a set that is known to tweak well, ships at 1.35v and is kinda a go to because of price and reputation.
When I got into Zen with Ryzen 1000 series it was B-Die CL14 or bust. It is what I bought and I payed heafty for it. With my 5700X it is now a value platform and I'm just looking for bang-for-the-buck so I can put my B-Die back on my 1700X.
 
You can pretty much buy any memory at this point and be fine with Ryzen 3000 and above. I haven't looked at the QVL list since first gen Ryzen. I've run Samsung, Hynix, and Micron memory without issue with 5XXX CPUs.

I hear ya, was just hopping someone would enlighten me to the go-to sticks. I guess the market is too big and varied these days.

I've been looking to Kingston partly because they specify which kits are dual rank and which ones aren't.

If you can, I'd stick with and snag a B-Die Kit that is 32GB. I'd have to find the link for mine, but it was technically listed as a quad channel kit and is B-Die. It's listing was a GSkill 32GB Quad 3200Mhz CAS 14.... however, being B-Die, I run it at 3800Mhz CAS 16 (16-15-15-30 @ 1T) @ 1.38V on my Ryzen setup. It can do more, I have de-coupled my FCLK and UCLK before for testing and was able to get 4200Mhz @ 18-18-18-36 @ 1T GDM using 1.46V.
 
I went with Gskill TridentZ RGB CL16-19-19-39 1.35v.
It hit a decent price point for me here in Canada. Hoping that is has some decent tweak-ability for me.
Thanks for the suggestions but the premium price point on those kits made little sense for a upgrade X370 system.
