So..

I will be powering :

E6750
EVGA 8800 Ultra
4x1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer
Raptor X 150GB
2 x 1TB Western Digital (or maybe Hitatchi Deskstar, haven't decided yet..)

So, I erroneously purchased a Corsair 520HX instead of a 620HX from NewEgg. Will the 520 be sufficient?

I personally run a very similar system in the lab with a 2900XT and two less hard drives on an HX520. Even at full load it doesn't draw more than 400W, you'll be fine.

You, too, have not bought the wrong psu; quite far from it.

You'll be fine.

That power supply will run your setup like a champ.

The corsair 450W can run any single card setup.

I just upgraded my psu from a stock HP to the Corsair 520HX . I have a 6600 quad core processor with two sata 320 hardrives, 2 sata dvd writers and an ati radeon 1300pro card soon to be upgraded. I work with video editing , not much of a gamer.

It is Extremely quiet and I would recommend it highly. The modular unit definately freed up some much needed space for air circulation.(Cramped HP case)

I had no problems with the install , except that the spacing between the two sata connections on the same cable could have been longer. It needed to be worked around the video and tv tuner card and it came up short. I ended up moving one of the hardrives to solve the problem.:)
I think you will be very pleased with this PSU. Good luck!
