Yeah and about half(made up number to exagerate the situation that's pretty bad already) put them up on Ebay before they left the parking lot.

That pic shows dumbasses buying these cards at around $1000. If you want the in had pics look on ebay, I shit you not there was one with a greasy paper bag next to it.

People are dropping $1200-1500 on 3080s. These will unfortunately sell at $800-900 easily.

Those are buy it now purchases, you can't end them like that without actually checking out(minus the 1 1200 outlier and 930 were ended early with offers that you still have to check out)
 
I did some searches and came out with a lot of confirmed pre orders and few cards in hand. If there were a lot of them in hand, not seeing a lot.
 
It looks like the reality is NOT 300k of even 3070 3080 and 3090 combined... I'd be surprised if 25k made it to stores within a week.

I agree, this is pathetic people are willing to hand them 500+ dollars and all they have to do is put them on the shelf.
 
The demand is off the charts. My retailer contacts get stock every day, but they have more back orders that will take them till April at current receive rates to fill them all up. Evga queue system numbers gives the true state of where we're at too. They make them everyday, but the queues are so high so same backlog.

Based on what? There has clearly been significantly more 3070 stock than 3080/3090 at launch. Not enough obviously, but where would you get an actual number from?
 
retailer and distributor contacts, mind you only for ne area, but the numbers are looking to be sub 10k in past few days. There is significantly more 3070 stock than at 3080 launch though.
 
Whew. Got myself a 3080 from Newegg - processing right now. Gigabyte bundle, so now I've got a spare (?!?) 850W power supply. I'm sure I'll find something to do with it.

Spare PSU is always handy, and if not, betcha you can sell it here for 60-80... and with the $30 discount on the bundle, it's basically resetting the tax to 0 at least here... I'm happy with the deal.

Aye, I got the same bundle. Hoping they ship. I see Paypal being charged. Good thing my 850W PSU for my next build is still within the return period. Glad I waited to start opening the packaging since I needed the 3080 and Zen 3 first. The PSU doesn't look too bad, so going to be running that on my next rig, lol.

Spare PSU is better than dealing with scalpers. I also hit on a 5 second drop of the 3070. Going to be passing that to my buddy's build as he's sitting on a temporary 5700XT on his new rig. Passing the good karma all around.

Yeah, mine shows processed now and in packaging - that's the trick to watch for with Newegg normally. Means they validated you against inventory, and are packaging it now. And agreed on the scalpers. I briefly debated on an eBay 3080 for 1200 even, but had decided to wait. Got in today and my laptop had distill/discord go off, because I hadn't shut it off yet. Pulled it off :) Now the 2080 goes to my wife, her 1080 goes down into my HTPC, and the 970 from there I'll do something creative with.
