Ok...I previously had one stick of 512MB Kingston HyperX PC2700 on my Asus A7N8X Deluxe, well I just got my 2nd stick yesterday. Ok well I looked thorough my manual on how I should set them up to run dual channel. So it told me to enter a stick in slot 1 and slot 3, or I can enter a stick in slot 2 and slot 3. So I went with 2 and 3. Everything is cool, boots up fine, I go to my system information in the Control Panel...it says I now have a Gig....cool.

Well....Ive noticed that my performance, hasn't increased...its decreased for some reason. I looked all though my BIOS for something to enable dual channel....nothing. Am I not looking good enough, did I do something wrong? Any help is appreciated...thanks.

1.) You won't get any form of noticeable performance increase in dual channel with an Athlon XP system.

2.) Use slots 0 + (1 or 2). Slot 0 is important for some reason beyond me, in Athlon systems. It's why it's always colored different.
