Don't buy any of this 1.5 year old overpriced miner-bait junk, it's about to be oblierated by the real GPUs in a few months.
Everything I've seen suggests we'll likely see new cards in late Q4 at the earliest. I realize it's all a guess until they announce something officially but have you seen anything to suggest otherwise?

Rumored release is september from the articles i've read. Though i'd guess limited supply at that time and only certain models. I'd also expect demand to continue to be crazy and as a result they'll be hard to get and prices will be stupid. I really hope i'm wrong.

Yeah, anyone thinking the 4000 series release and availability will be any different than the last release is being blindly optimistic to say the least.
I think the next gen prices are going to make your eyes water, especially if they follow what Kyle said and don't have an MSRP.

My crystal ball says you're not wrong.

I doubt the supply issue will be as bad next time around; both manufacturers and consumers have learned. The biggest problems will likely be jacked up MSRP and potentially smaller-scale scalping.

Nvidia left millions on the table. They will adjust prices upwards like 3080 12gb / 3080 ti / 3090 ti levels. 4 figures is the new normal. Looks at cell phones, 1k is the start point for the most popular manufacturers. If they do FE prices aggresively low like 3k series, I think a certain someone in their leather jacket will be out of a job.

Yup. Cat's out of the bag. Desperate pc gamers will buy mid range cards for $700 and actually treat it like a deal (looking at you, 3070ti).

I'll join the doomsayer dogpile here and state the 3080 is going to be the last xx80 family gpu from Nvidia to be priced less than $1k.

From this point forward, expect to pay four figures for a flagship gpu.

In an ideal world, there would have been only 4 Ampere cards: 3060 Ti 8 GB for 379, 3070 Ti 16 GB for 579, 3080 12 GB for 799 and 3090 Ti 24 GB (yes ok to charge a premium for an absolute Halo product with a perfect die) for 1499, all launched on Day 1. All should have been FHR, the rest of the lineup is just too close together to be meaningful in anyway.

That 6900XT has been available I think since Wednesday, just no takers :ROFLMAO:
I have to admit I've been tempted to grab that and a 5800x3d but was much more tempted to grab the Nitro+ SE 6900xt that NE had for $1030(sold out now). I'm trying to hold out for a reasonably priced 6800xt though, I'm hoping those start getting easier to get during the thursday drops soon.

I personally would stay far, far away from Newegg, unless you are willing to take the risk. The best way to understand why I am saying this is to go to r/newegg subreddit and read one story after another that is occurring now.
I stopped shopping Newegg a decade ago other than, very rarely. If you are fortunate to have a Microcenter near you, that's the best option period. Hopefully with Intel entering the GPU market, AMD catching up to nVidia in terms of performance ( real performance ) that this GPU shit storm is behind us.

Not bad.

Might not mean anything but I was able to get a 3080 FE at my local Best Buy yesterday (they had two) via the app
Congrats, I can get a 3060ti at mine... unfortunately not FE, the Gigabyte Aurus one for ONLY $699!!! But I totally can add it to my cart and check out!

Nice! I just noticed how small the EK FE waterblock is for the FE, it's now at the head of the list for me!
