I don't have option 3 on Gsync Options.

Do you have installed the OSD from Aorus FV43U?
I looking for a drivers os FV43U but i don't find anything.

Thanks
Yes I have OSD installed but I used it only to update the firmware.
Since then, monitor was never again connected with the usb cable.

But my issue had nothing to do with OSD.
I just had to tick the nvcpl option(the one you don't have)

There are no drivers for this monitor.
It is recognized correctly in my case.

Still appear as 'generic pnp monitor' under device manager though

I'm still the same, I have no idea what's going on. I'm waiting for Gigabyte to answer me.
I don't know where the fault is
I must be waitting a update of Fv43u or GPU

It may sound silly but please try to reset all Aorus menu settings and use english language.
I remember people having trouble updating the firmware with different languages.
And they were able to flash the firmware by simply changing the Aorus menu to english.

I would also try to re-flash the monitor if problem persists after switching to english.
The device behaves strange with firmware flashing.

Why also insisting to 472,12 drivers?
Did you try Nvidia latest release(496,49)?

Did you try connecting the monitor via HDMI?
Another DP cable?
All available ports of your gpu?

As your issue is strange you have to try the strangest things.
One by one, and all possible combinations/scenarios of drivers, firmware, Aorus menu settings, ports, cables etc.

I wish I could help you more.

Hello, my FV43U only has the Portuguese-Spanish-Chinese-Arabic language, I don't have English language to choose from.
The monitor came with firmware F02 (g-sync failed anyway) I updated it to F04.
I have the standard 472.12 drivers, they are the latest standard on the nvidia website, the 496.49 with DCH and if I install those I lose the Nvidia panel.

I have tried various DP cables and the HDMI 2.1 and the problem with the G-sync persists.

I e-mailed Gigabyte with my problem 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for him to reply.

Neither does the dashboad and game assist option of the FV43U mark anything.
I can only wait for an update from Nvidia or Aorus FV43U.

Thank you very much for the suggestions

you can just use HDMI 2.1 with your GPU, activate Gsync (it is activated in you Screenshots) and the go for Windows variable refresh rate, its way the same

So you cannot run the latest Nvidia drivers? sounds like a deeper issue may be at play here - Definitely software related.

I'd follow the suggestions made by eyejoy above (as the driver you are on is only 2 months old and should still work) and also figure out why the latest Nvidia Game Read Driver is not working for you.

Dose anyone have a good source for information for really understanding how to setup HDR?

When i say set up i mean getting the settings "right".

Currently we have the 4 HDR profiles, some let only a bit of customisation, then windows through the Nvidia control panel has its own colour settings and finally individual games have their own brightness and saturation settings.

How dose everyone else manage? per application settings ? set it and leave it?

first, make sure you have HDR on in your OSD, that the monitor would be able to get HDR.

there are different types of cases :
1. some game automatic detect HDR -> you dont have to switch HDR on in windows, game will automatic change the mode
2. some game dont detect HDR right, in that case the game not running in real fullscreen, its more like borderless fullscreen -> then you have to switch before launching the game the HDR Slider in windows to "On" BUT then the HDR Output will not look very good, Windows handle HDR really bad.

when HDR is active you can choose your HDR profile (HDR1000/Game/Movie...)

in my eyes HDR1000 looks really good in movies/videos.
For games i am using the HDR Game profile, because games looking a little bit washed out wir HDR1000.
The i tweaked the HDR Game profile for my taste.

I can install the last drivers 496,49 but with drivers DCH i lost Nvidia panel.
For me is better standard drivers than DCH drivers

I understand that you uninstalled Windows store(???)

If this is the case, I believe this the source of your problems(and eventually others)

I would suggest to re-install the store or do a clean install of windows.

In all cases and as far as I know since 496,13 DCH release NVCPL is included in the driver.
No MS Store needed to get NVCPL.
The only thing you do need is a working AppX installer, since that is what the NVCPL installer is launched by.
It's a standard appx package included with the driver.
But if your custom OS has the installer for appx destroyed as well you are out of luck.
Only 2 choices left then, stick to the old driver or reinstall a not so stripped Windows.

Personally I believe that there is no difference between standard and dch drivers and you should give them a try.
Especially if you face such an odd issue.

I already have it active, I had to install the Nvidia panel from the Windows store.

It already lets me select the FV43U in the G-sync directory.

That version of Nvidia Panel loads very slowly.

Do you know of any solution to make it go faster?

Thanks.

I don't know what you mean by slow.
NVCPL is not the faster responsive program on earth.
But I would not call it slow.

Never need to do such thing but did you try adding nvcplui.exe to your antivirus excemption list to see if it makes any change?

It takes about 3 minutes to run since you double click with the mouse.

And if I run it 2 times in a row it doesn't even start.

With the previous version I was doing very well
What directory is the nvidia Panel in c: /?

Thanks

here the videos with the problems
The old nvidia panel is fast but the new one takes a long time to load and even crashes.

I'm amazed they consider the text clarity good overall. No reviewer has ever commented on the pixel interference issue and how it badly affects text. Guess they just can't see it and/or have never noticed it which blows my mind. I don't miss it as my primary at all, it was doing my head in. And I still stand by my past comments that BGR text issues are way overblown. It only means anything detrimentally if you're using subpixel rendering in RGB-tuned mode. Just flip it, or don't use it.

Looks like the sides being darker is universal too. It shows up as bad yellow tinting with general content on mine.

I still enjoy the FV for console gaming but since grabbing a 50" QN94A for PC use that's all it's been doing.

Hi, newbie here having OLEDs from the 2nd LG generation, now on C8 and SamsungS32D850...that just has been fired (thank you Samsung for fragile power supply MOS)
I was looking at this Aorus at the beginning BUT if I follow the 48C1 or 43QN90A or 50QN90A have much better tech and less pricied (at least here in France vs Aorus lcd 43" and even 48" oled version)

Question please:
what screen do you think will have BETTER TEXT CLARITY, please?
48C1 or 50QN90A (or 43qn90a as even 60hz is OK)
Only the PC productivity work, no gaming: Word, Excel, Browser, Outlook 70%, Toutube, Video editing, Photo 30%

As my S32D850 is burned I can not compare and do fine tests, but up to what I've done CANCELING the "cleartype" on my 65" oled, makes it easier to read (no or less colors splashing under the loop :)
with my lenovo spare 22" lcd, the activating the ClerType makes it good...even better vs. Oled I think in terms of "clarity", seems to me.

so if I'm not wrong R+G+B pixel lcd mini led quantum panel theoretically should be more "readable" vs W+R+G+B subpixel structure?
I can not measure it under the loop, but this W subpixel takes some place anyway!

I'm not afraid about the burn-in, but for sure, it takes to be taken as serious disadvantage for the PC productivity / static work mainly.

DOes someone has compared 48 oled and 43/50 qled, even better if this minimed QN90 series

Thank you

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with OLEDs of any sort. I have avoided them due to burn-in concerns as my work usage leaves static tools on screen for hours each day and I can't avoid this - save for moving the tools around and I'm not willing to constantly relearn my muscle memory for where they are on screen for the sake of babying the panel.

Therefore I can't directly compare text clarity of the C1 to my 50" QN94A (near enough identical to the 90A). As this is the FV43U thread and we're talking text clarity, I recommend avoiding the FV entirely if text at 100% scaling means anything to you, or any pixel level detail for that matter. My experiences with the pixel row interference issues are well documented in this thread so I don't need to repeat myself but it's most definitely a case of can't unsee, and in Gigabyte's case, can't fix.

By all means the FV is a fine gaming screen if you can live with the other compromises mentioned plenty here and in reviews but the pixel interference (that no reviewer, even RTINGS, ever picked up on despite it being on every sample) was what made me replace it with the Samsung. It's headache inducing. Once I got the 94A setup in place of it I realised the clarity I was missing.

As for the C1, someone else is going to have to chime in there.

THANKS, i'm using 125% scaling, looked at 43qn90 vs FV43U but qn90 even in 43 is still too expensive, but now when I've almost discredited oled with some tests on my LG 65C8 and this crazy yellow or green texts with red and cyan dots/lins left/right, I'll reconsider again Samsung...maybe the less expensive M7 43"...but I don't know if it is RGB or BGR...I've seen your posts about teh BGR, but now I'm confused as it seems that the "TV" panels are still not optimized, even if I am pretty sure that the QN90A in 43" is the best specs one up to what we have today. Maybe to go with 50", but I don't need the 120hz so probably to big for me even if I can mount it on the wall and my desk is 75cm deep + 35cm (110cm = 43") as I'm always writing in office chair relaxed/inclination position. So even this FV43U is not for me as I'm looking for the best text clarity first of all.

Don't get the 43 Samsung, it has gimped specs in comparison to the 50". The 50 is the sweet spot. It's "the one" to get.

How are you all enabling HDR? I keep reading that windows still has poor implementation of HDR. I have been simply toggling HDR on or off in windows settings however I've read in several reviews that it's best to enable HDR in the monitor's OSD instead of windows to get the best picture.

How is this done? When I go into the monitor's OSD settings and switch HDR to "on" it doesn't actually turn HDR on or enable it. The only way I can seem to enable HDR is through windows display settings?

Enabling in windows enables it in the monitor osd. I dont think you can enable in osd wirhout enabling in windows

Hello, I do not understand why selecting in the Nvidia 60 hz panel there are games that in full screen go to 144 hz and in window mode they go to 60 hz.
Does any happen to him?

That was my thought as well. Have you read the same thing though? Some people saying enable it via the monitor and not in windows. Not sure what they meant. I've found that in the sdr mode (green) if you go further into the menu you can actually toggle hdr to "on" but it doesn't actually enable hdr if it's not enabled within windows. Not sure what the purpose of that is.

Enabling HDR on the monitor and not the OS doesn't make any sense. I assume it's just an OSD option that allows the monitor to accept HDR signals, whereas turning it off would force things to SDR (I don't know, this doesn't make much sense either).

One thing's for sure, you can't magically have HDR unless your OS/game/GPU is actually sending it to your screen.

HDR needs to he turned on in the OSD of the monitor/tv menu & needs to be turned on in Windows also. When gaming the HDR in the games menu needs to be turned on. When watching youtube HDR content needs to be selected. If you cannot enable HDR on your monitor or TV something is missing gpu or cable is not up to spec.

For HDR there are the following cases :
- if a game is good optimazed, it will detect automatic without activating HDR in Windows before > HDR is working well
- when a game not detects it automatic and you have to turn it on in Windows, then it looks terrible in games

Windows has really bad HDR inplementation

thanks for the comment, BUT it seems that 43QN90 has the RGB ADS panel, the 50QN90 in Europe has the VA...and for the PC use RGB seems better, I mean productivity work, not Video&Games...and for me the important part is the PC MONITOR use; text clarity etc. teh RGB is the way to go...and YES it's strange that the 43" is "only" 50hz, and all the list of specs missing vs bigger brothers. really crazy, as the price is almost the same for the 43" as well as for the 50"...1K here in France (the 50" has been even less expensive, 0.8K for the Black Friday

For someone who actually owns/owned the monitor. what cable got you to 144Hz at 4K? A sole HDMI 2.1 cable?

Same here re: DP cable - running this at 4k144. I also used a HDMI 2.1 connection for testing but disconnected it after a bit, since I need the HDMI output for a second display.

When I do PBP (main pc & laptop) each window size is 1920 X 2160 however both sides does not take up the entire 1920 X 2160 . it appears as if both are cropped with black bars to the left and right of each. Anyone else have this behavior. Can someone show a screen shot with PBP for comparison please. Both PC and Laptop connected via HDMI.

I have HDR permanently on as everything looks better in my eyes with it.
I have a friend teling me that by leaving HDR on all the time the lighting (max brightness) will burn out much much faster.
And it would be better to disable it in desktop and activate it only when I want to play a game or watch a movie.
Is there any truth on that?

If you leave it at a full 100% bright screen all the time, maybe. But even then it should last longer than one would reasonably keep the monitor.

Under normal use cases, it shouldn't measurably impact the lifespan.

I keep my QN90A on max brightness max contrast with hdr on in the monitor & in windows full time. I never turn off hdr. I don't suspect I will ever encounter any issues. Noone has reported such issues that we know about here on the forum about this display so I would say it is not of any concern.

I'm not sure either the FV43U or the QN90A have been available and in use for long enough for anyone to report LED lifetime issues. It'd be a serious concern if that was cropping up already, even if people are using HDR all the time.

Going to install now.
i have installed :

HDMI gets no signal, connected to DP and got signal. Figured out, when changing HDMI Version to 2.0 in the OSD i got signal, revert to HDMI 2.1 screen gets black again, no Signal.
Just installed the F04 again, everything is fine with HDMI again

I don't use HDMI on this screen so cannot comment if F05 has broken it for me. Updated whilst on DP and no issues, update took about 10 mins.

Seems like F05 has improved the volume? (don't often use the speakers but before they didn't have any change bellow volume 10 and where very loud)

Not noticed anything else
