I just purchased this memory for $63.74 after using this 15% off coupon: DM15JN11US

Not sure if it's for US only but for PC1600 CL8 1.5v memory plus free shipping, it seems like a great deal to me!

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

Yeah, I saw that deal as well but wanted a little better CAS latency...nice addition to the thread though!

I bought my memory for my Minecraft server, so I didn't care much about latency... :)

Think those have the g.skills beat. 15$ mail in rebate puts those at 48.74$ each... I think im going to jump on 2. Looks like rebate is 1 per customer, so you will have to get a friend or neighbor to buy the 2nd set if you want 2.

1.65v and 9-9-9 timings vs 1.5v 8-8-8 timings. they arent even in the same class. there are some ripjaws with 9-9-9 timings and 1.5 for $55 shipped no rebate.

I wonder if I should invest some money in DDR3. It can't be any worse than I'm doing in the stock market right now.

I just bit for 2. Figure I can finally have matching pairs and sell my old Ripjaws and Corsair RAM and come out okay. Had a $20 gift card too, so it was a very good deal IMO. Thanks OP!

Absolutely bro. Buy as much as you can and often, & make a stash. One day they will be worth more, it's just a matter of how much and when. At this point it seems like a win/win.

Just a quick question I have a new sandybridge 2500k build and I am confussed about which of these would be best for me. Any suggestions?

Either the $55 or $64 ones listed will work, just make sure to get the 1.5v sticks, not the ones rated to run at 1.65v.

In for... 5... using my NE preferred account so I've got 6 months no interest. Did they change from $500 to $250 recently? Anyway... it's going to tempting to open them up since they are CL8.

I remember some phase I went through with DDR2 memory. I can't even remember how many ballistix, tracers, and etc I bought and tried out when DDR2 was at/near its rock bottom. This might just happen again...
