DELL UP2718Q. Is that glossy?

Hello all.

I have DELL UP2715K (IPS/60HZ/2880p)

i can say that this monitor is amazing on my eyes. The colors are amazing.
I am playing games with that. and even if it has 8ms response time i have never seen ghosting.

Anyway i am intersting now to upgrade to the newest DELL UP2718Q. this is IPS/60HZ and HDR.

the problem is that i am not sure if that it is glossy. I have tested some matt monitors from dell (ultrasharp series) and i disapointed with the colors..I want to be glossy like mine. (actually it is not 100% glossy, there are reflections but not like the 100% glossy DELL S2415H)

in DELL website the monitors are discribed as this:

UP2718Q:
Display Screen Coating
Anti-glare treatment of the front polarizer (3H) hard coating

UP2715K:
Display Screen Coating
Antiglare with hard-coating 3H


So. how can i know? does anyone have try it?

That I understand Thomas, since it comes with 4k resolution most of it are glossy that is why there is an anti glare coating added to reduce the glossiness.

It is glossy however with Anti Glare 3H Hard coating it will be matte.

The monitor is standard with glossy feature since it comes with 4k resolution, now to make it much more efficient the monitor comes with an anti glare hard coating to reduce the glossiness so its half matte half glossy.

Since you need matte standard, you will need to look at getting FHD monitors instead of Ultrasharp since 4k comes standard with glossy.
