Are the NA kickstarters going to get their shipments before people who buy from overclockers? Because at this rate they wont.

On one hand, the idea of this happening perturbs me. On the other hand, if it was cheaper or saved time because of the shipping allocations he set up, I can understand.

I still want my case asap.

Think of it this way; If you have a Kickstarter spot, you are sure to get your case...
If you wait for overclockers, you can get it sooner or miss it and wait another few months

The potential downside as well is overclockers may not ship with dhl, dhl import ancillary fees are among the highest of all express couriers.

Dan said on many occasions that the kickstarter backers would get their cases first, and the remainder will go then to the resellers. So I'm guessing it would be impossible to get your case thru a reseller first. However, I've been wrong before :D.

Guys, this project is up since 2015. Does it really matter if we get our pc case a weak oder two later? I mean, we funded this project to make this possible and that's what matters, right?

It's like you said, we've been waiting since 2015. We originally were going to get shipping information in December 2016. It's just an amazing case and people have been very patient waiting for it. As the final weeks come to a close most people need an update that's all. No offense to Dan though, he's been pretty transparent about the process from the get go.

What direction is the power supply connector orientated?

With the cable end toward you (connector facing away from you), and the bevels on top, does the power connector turn right or left?

On the prototype photos I think it showed one where the connector turned to the left (as per above description).

Is this the same in the final version?

Been a long time coming, I don't have any parts yet so I don't really care about a few additional weeks. Just excited to see the project successful. Great to see so many amazing cases designed by individuals. Although I don't think I can justify any more itx form factor pc's. This will be number 3 !

I'm tempted to buy a second one, sell my laptop, and use travel with the A4, hooking up to flat screen TVs when I'm on the road.

Apologies for any ignorance and not paying attention, I have a 250D and I want smaller.. smaller go go go...

Sooo basically..

MS-7887 Z871 (1720 x 170mm)
i5-4670k 4k MHZ

H100i Dual-120 (Too big, unnecessary)
ASUS STRIX-GTX980-DC2OC (28.86 x 13.44 x 4.09cm)? Has these annoying tall, whiny heat sinks
Corsair AX760 (Too big)
2x Hyper-X HX318C10FRK2/16 (32.80mm tall)
2x Noctua NF-F12 (Unecessary?)

Need: Smaller PSU, Smaller Air CPU Cooler, Smaller GPU

You also need to consider the modular cables connecting from the bottom of the psu.
Thought of that, i think it would be an interesting challenge, going watercooled does get rid of gpu heatsink and cpu heasink, there is some promising space to use granted you can stuff a decent radiator below the psu.

Even with two of those 80mm Rads you will cool the hardware worse than with decent aircoolers.

plus this http://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/cont..._ii_integrated_pump_and_waterblock_review.jpg

all im saying is that it's possible you can watercool the dan a4.

If you can fit 2 of those 80mm Rads, then youre golden! wishful thinking...
I've researched this for fun times. First, the Apogee pump/block combo is too tall at ~53mm unless you get the acrylic window mod. You need to use a low profile cpu block + fittings, which can be done several ways. The only possible way I've found to do a legit cpu loop is with either a short 1060 (lame) or with a Fury Nano. With a short GPU you can mount a slim 120mm rad with slim fan behind the PSU. In order to do a full loop you'd need at least a dual 80mm rad in addition or you'd overheat quickly. A small pump like the Alphacool DC-LT could be mounted where ever space could be found. This is all speculation and I won't be able to actually assess the possibility of watercooling until I have my case in front of me. But like you said, wishful thinking.

Got my A4 delivered yesterday. Its really impressive to see that even the box it came in is smaller than the majority of cases out there. Here it is in comparison to the already really small Ncase M1:

Sadly i won't be able to start my build directly, as i will need to gather additional parts. It will be an X99 build however (again ) , a 12 core Xeon Workstation in a shoebox sized case would be really cool...

Dan really delivered a great case here, hope he isn't too exhausted now.

I'm downsizing from an NCase M1 too, so fantastic to see them side by side to see how much smaller the A4 is! Thanks!

The zotac 1080mini has come out so its got serious beef power, and a pump can fit snug horizontally below the gpu, there is a bunch of empty space there, as well as space above for tubing. its very very possible, like you said we gotta get our hands on the unit first.

Hello,

I have mailed some companies like Celsia and Heatscape that make custom colling vapor systems and ask them for produce a full copper vapor chamber (custom vapor like 2-5 maybe more mm) heatsink like dynatron t318 but for LGA1151. 95x95x23 and 95x95x33 so we can test 14mm noctua slim fan and 25mm fan in Dan case. Mounting system and fins etc like dynatron T318.

Unfortunatley most of them do not want to sell to individual and no low volumes but i will try and maybe ill find one to make some prototypes for good $$$.
I belive that this heat sink + Fan will be the best scenario with space we have in Dan to cool our OC'ed CPUs. They told me that it is possible to make a 130W+ TDP heat sink with this dimension so im excited like hell.

Heatscape can make min prototype run like 25 pcs.

So anybody interested in this custom cooling fantasy specials for Dan sfx? Maybe we can stretch heat sink to max fit with particular motherboard to make it bigger and better dissipate.

English is not my main language so excuse me.

I'd be interested, how much would each be if we did a run of at least 25? ETA?

Would anyone who has already received the case be willing to provide some rough measurements of custom PSU cable lengths needed? I realize there will be motherboard-dependent variation, but any general guidelines would be helpful in the meantime.
