Why are people making this a net neutrality issue?

Comcast's post-2008 practice was perfectly legal under the net neutrality rules.

Not so much that, but more that is about comcast trying the PR move of saying oh look! NN rules are gone, so no more slowing down even heavy users! Isnt this incredible! .. all the while they are getting ready to have you bend over.

I got the Comcast unlimited on sale for $25/month for 12 months back in May. No more buffering for me after going over the cap.

Well I know 1 cable company in the US is pretty awesome..and if you have a problem with them you either had 1 bad experience and/or talked to the wrong person.. the [H] in AZ can reach out to me to fix their issues if needed ... although I hope no one has issues here

Net neutrality didn't do shit for bandwidth usage. Stop injecting politics in this. Comcast is a greedy bitch. Bandwidth shouldn't cost any damn money to anyone anymore. It's just electricity at the end of the day.

it may not be long before someone sends up a bunch of satellites in short order and charges a fair dollar for wireless internet and suddenly wired internet will become a dinosaur ... I'm surprised Elon hasn't done it yet

Just go for Comcast Business. It's not really that much more expensive than their residential "xfinity" service. No monthly cap. No throttling (ever, under any circumstances). They never give half a shit what you download. If there are ever any problems, you call, call is answered immediately, van is at your house in <45 minutes every single time without ever scheduling an appointment.

Nice, Comcast business 16mbps is the same price as my 400mbit.

I have Mediacom, 2000/30 with a 2000 cap. It's just fine, no complaints about the internet service. What sucks is I can't cancel Cable/DVR/Phone, services that I don't really want at all, without the internet price actually going up. I just want internet, Netflix, and Amazon Prime.
