Borderlands 3

Found a new fun toy that actually is a challenge to use. Bullet speed is very slow so sucks against fast movers but hordes and bosses its fairly devastating in fade. Bullet is pass through so it damages everyone in its path. Very helpful when ammo starts running low in OPQ.

Good find. I carry one of those in my 3rd slot. The one you got is especially nice because it has the freeze stat. Unlike a bunch of other guns with that stat, this one works nearly every time. While its use is kinda limited, it's still probably the best shotgun at the moment and it offers something your other guns won't do better.
 
Just did the cartel dlc I was on Mayhem mode but even Mayhem 1 was too hard for my taste so I went back to normal. I got a good shield though Mayhem 1 though.

Try to get a semi decent OPQ, should get you trough mayhem 1 without issue, I just did a mayhem 4 without too much hassle with one of those.
 
Anyone want me to help them do some mh10 cartel stuff feel free to invite me this weekend. I can solo the whole thing pretty easily at this point

It is astounding that they would design a game where 98% of all legendary guns/shields/nades are completely worthless. I tried every shotgun and smg I have picked up in the legendary class, tested them in range and immediately sold until the lob came along. I still carry the Flakker just cause I like the sound effects of it. I have yet to get a Sand Hawk sniper to drop or any SMG remotely close to usable M4 and up.

The Sand Hawk only drops from Katagawa Jr. It's VERY well worth getting. It works like an assault rifle more than a sniper, but it hits like a truck.
The Kaoson is probably the best SMG I've found. It's hyper accurate and rapid fire, plus the bullets explode when you reload. It only drops from Traunt.

Both of those bosses are super easy even on Mayhem 10 with a Yellowcake of any sort. Traunt especially. With Katagawa, the key is to open fire immediately. You can often kill him instantly, but if he starts moving around that fight can drag out for a while.
 
Handsome Jack's casino is pretty fun found a Yellowcake gun having the cartel thing enabled while doing it but it scales to my level but it one hits pretty much anything.

Yup. Farmed them 5-6 times each. No drops so I gave up and moved to DLC's which I got in the Epic sale.
 


IM going to do this with the cartel spawns this place is insane they might of nerfed the XP since the video.
Update the XP is fast but it would take me about 12 hour to reach level 57 maybe less so screw it =)
That area is like a welding torch after a while. I could use a trainer but it will screw up all my gear and the stuff will scale below my level.

Western themed DLC3 sounding like fun. Guess I'll finally be re-buying BL3 on Steam and coming back. June 25.

There’s a new planet, new town and new enemies, including the main enemy gang of “beast riders.” We, as vault hunters, will also get a new vehicle that is vaguely motorbike-ish. You can only access it inside the Bounty of Blood DLC, and it’s actually the only vehicle you can use there.

Can you replay the DLC again without restarting the game? Not that I want to I had enough of those loaders for a while.,
 
Been farming Katagawa Jr for the last 2 hours... gotten 1 sandhawk.. and it had the "exiting iron bear" anointment. Really starting to hate this guy. 3 kills and he dropped 0 Legendaries at all.
 
I went back to Katagawa Jr. to see if I could get a better Sand Hawk and man...his drop rate is loooow. I think I got a 1 in a million drop the first time. It's 9800x2 with 67% to freeze and the "spike" anointment. While not the greatest anointment, it's at least useful. I got 3 more drops yesterday (after like an hour of 1-shot kills) and they were all dropping in the 7000 damage range with anointments for other classes, or the garbage "healing pool" one.

Katagawa drops legendaries like mad for me, but they're all pointless. Just trash shields and grenades.
That something they really need to adjust immediately. Right now there's zero point to shield and grenade drops.

Same here. Unfortunately I can't 1 shot him at MH10, so its a pain in the ass fight, with a crap drop rate. Agreed on the shields and grenades. As long as you have a Transformer or Old God with the right annoint, and an "It's Piss" with the same, you're golden on both. Speaking of that I need to farm a few more "It's Piss" nades for the wife and friends.
 
I've been trying to finish up all the odds and ends and get the Steam achievements, but the Steam achievements seem buggy. When it says I have 100% of something discovered and the achievement isn't unlocked, I'm not ashamed to admit that I just use the Steam achievement unlocker to give me what's mine! There seem to be at least some issues with how the requirements are conveyed and maybe how the game registers the accomplishment while you're in multiplayer or on a vehicle. Either the achievements are buggered or they did a super sloppy job verifying that they work. I'm not going to re-walk the map. F that.

Of all things, I went to Slaughterhouse 3000, stupidly died right after I killed one of the bosses (there are two), it let me start over at round 4/5, boss 1 of 2 respawned under the floor, was still alive, but it somehow successfully ended the round early and actually let me turn in the mission, giving me the achievement without finishing off the remaining enemies or boss. I've played 107 hours, enjoyed the game without any serious issues, but it's funny how some of the most basic stuff seems busted.
 
I got a bunch of level 57 yellowcakes but waiting for them to be nerfed with the next dlc =)
That Iceburger gun is hard to get suppose to spawn on the tendorizer but I couldn't get one for the life of me for the 3rd time at level 57.

I did 12 runs of Kata at M10 last night and got 1 SandHawk. Gave up after that. Such an annoying battle sequence. Got a 9826x9 84% cryo but no crit damage, 2 ammo per shot and a useless rakk attack anoint. Im not trying for more, what an aggravating waste of time.

How are you one shoting him? M10? I thought all of his damage points were fixed and unavoidable. My hits always stop at a 1/6th of life gone. Then its the rediculous shield recharge repeat BS.

Iceburger seems to frop all over the place, think I vendored like a dozen orso of them, never even tried one, too many guns around and I'm not realy into shotguns, still have some in my bank, but they are normal lvl or maybe mayhem 1.

Yup, playing on Mayhem 10. As soon as you fall down the shaft to fight him, make sure you're as far away from him as possible. Basically in the far right corner of the shaft. From there, just fire the Yellowcake at him. If you have the 300/90 anointment, he dies immediately about 60-70% of the time. The key is to be far away so that the rocket hits him multiple times. He still does his little animation where he warps around in place, but he's dead if you you don't see any health armor in his life bar.

Wow, I'm using a max damage yellowcake with 300/90 on my Zane and doing exactly what you said I can hit him for about 1/2 to 7/8 at best with an opening salvo. This is my shooting as soon as you clear the wall and before I even hit the ground

I didn't really think about it, but it's likely also character build related. I'm using Fl4k and basically all of my abilities/stats are poured into DPS stacks. I also have a class mod that increases heavy weapon damage by 35% and an artifact that increases heavy by another 20% along with +40% area of effect. The Yellowcake I use is 44K with the 300/90 anointment. I have one with 48K x 2 and 200% damage in active skill, but it doesn't hurt any more and it's always running out of ammo.
I'd say that Katagawa Jr. dies almost immediately more often than not. When he survives, he teleports to the generator above/left of him most of the time. If you fire there, you can often kill him while he's splitting.

Somewhat related - anyone know if different Mayhem 10 versions drop better items than others? I usually play with the invincibility drones, energy beam connected enemies, occasional laser pods, and whatever for the first one. To me that's the easiest option. The cake slaughters those drones and the other things I barely notice. I swear it seems like items just aren't dropping with the right stats in spite of being on Mayhem 10, though. Feels like there are combos that are WAY harder...but are they actually worth it or just a bad choice?

rank noobie in this game(level 4) and it is very good. tried playing BL2 just couldn't get into it. Had to stop everything moves so fast my head was rotating lol.
 
You can farm most of the bosses in the game by just killing them and exiting to the main menu. It doesn't work on a few, but it works on the majority.
As long as they're still Godlike, the Yellowcake, OPQ, and Sand Hawk shred everything.
 
What's some of y'alls ign for bl3. Me and my wife game together. Would be cool to run 4 players :) I'm lvl 57. And have great legendary luck ;)
 
Tonight will likely be the last night I'll be farming the cartel before it goes byby. If anyone wants to jump in with me for a few MH10 runs and get you some loot lmk. I can solo it with ease on any of my characters at this point, so if you're a fresh 57 and want some MH10 loots, come get some, feel free to jump in and get ran through, just stay alive ;). IGN is same as here, either on Epic or Shift.
 
Grenades are basically worthless for any level of Mayhem past 2. At least for damage, although I guess some might have status effect buffs or something. A couple kinda-sorta work as distractions.
They need to just get rid of the damage resistance modifiers for Mayhem and make grenades do a % of damage across the board. That way they would all be useful immediately. Simply adding new Mayhem grenades won't do anything to validate the other 100 that suck right now.
 
Just before Claptrap gave me the Pearl of Knowledge a I loged out switched to Mayhem 10 and he gave me the 90% version =)
Could just be the level 57 scale and the other stuff I saw on youtube was a lower level scale.

That's pretty clever. You don't always get the chance to do that, but that's a good idea.
