I thought BF4 required Origin?
In any case, they will often sell the base game for a pittance, but then you are basically required to buy the season pass/expansions as to not be split from the community.

Steam doesn't have a license to sell Battlefield and other titles from EA/DICE. They control their world via Origin for a separate market. Same as Blizzard and Battlenet.

Uplay just sells the Origin key probably but Steam does sell BFBC2 and the Vietnam add-on.
