I know we have a lot of folks excited about Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Ubisoft is sharing some in-engine footage from the upcoming game. Possibly the 2030 Game of the Year! I think you will notice one of the game's fanbase sitting in front of the display. All joking aside, the engine looks to have some very good legs and this is coming to PC .

Check out the video.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is the spiritual successor to the cult classic, a prequel that will transport players into a profoundly multicultural world, capturing the spirit of the original with grandiose decors and intense dramas that play out across a vast universe. Through the Space Monkey Program, Ubisoft Montpellier will be developing the game alongside its community of fans.

this look cool. hopefully they intergrate part of ark into it to build your own city

I think this is one of those "we will see" moments. I don't even remember the game play from the first game, it's been too long.

Sequels need to come out in a reasonable amount of time if they hope to keep the original fans (Not every year, you here me Activision?!?). Diehards will always be happy they are getting a new game but it's been too long. It's kind of like half life 3. At this point I just don't care anymore.

HL3 CONFIRMED!!!

I'm excited for this. I actually just dusted it off and played the original a few months ago. It's worth playing if you haven't, or haven't for a while!

The entire chase scene in the E3 trailer has a very Fifth Element feel to it

And suddenly ubisoft can do no wrong and can't bait and switch anymore?

Sorry, just had to be 'that guy'.

Has anyone said this?

I don't like Ubisoft's business practices personally but the game certainly does look at least interesting from a visual perspective and Ubisoft has had made good games in the past despite management's business decisions so some excitement is at least reasonable.

Oh I agree. I just am very used to their E3 tech demos being leagues above what they actually launch in terms of graphic detail.

Heh I bet that when it is release ready, all those fancy effects have been chopped because consoles can't handle them.

Monkey see, monkey do. I'm so glad Star Citizen pushed other developers off their lazy asses to make great games again. I really look forward to playing this one in 2020, when I am in my 50s. (yikes) o_O

I think Michel Ancel's desire to make this game preempts Star Citizen by quite a bit. Although lots of similarity between their core mechanics. (And skepticism on intended completion)
