Backspace to delete a typo---also deletes the preceding line gap

Sometime in the past few days, I've started experiencing a quirk with backspace.

When I go to delete something (I.E. a couple of letters from a typo), if there is a blank space above that line, pressing backspace will delete a character AND the previous, blank line.

I'm experiencing it on 3 different computers. I don't run any add-ons or mods to my Edge browser. Any ideas?
 
I updated the forum software 3 days ago, including JS files.
Can you please clear your browser cache and try to re-produce it again here?
Or please try on incognito mode.

Based on your description, I cannot reproduce it myself.

I just deleted the browser cache for one of the computers.

I initially was going to make this post, without quoting you. I could type and delete, without the previous blank line deleting, with every press of backspace.

then i quoted you and now it does it again.
 
OS and Browser please?
I still can't reproduce it on MAC and Chrome (both latest versions).

Edge browser, latest Version 100.0.1185.44

This laptop is W10. Latest version 21H2 + update packs.
I have another W10 laptop, same windows version. Also Edge.

I believe my W11 desktop is doing it, as well. I will have to double check that. It would be whatever the latest W11 update is and Edge browser.
 
I just re-generate our JS cache busting value on the server side and purged HF CDN cache to hopefully fix this issue :|.

Please test again.
