Autonomous Drone Versus Human Piloted Drone

Back on October 12th Nasa's JPL raced their autonomous drone against Ken Loo, one of the top drone pilots in the world. They did this to see how well they could do after 2 solid years of development of their AI powered drone. When it was all over Ken Loo dominated, but the NASA drone put in a decent showing. That's not AI. True ai would have been able to fly upwards on it's own..map the course and then fly it with accuracy and speed..all by itself. Having the maps pre-loaded just means it was able to sense it's location along the path and not run into anything else.

True AI would have reacted in real time "seat of my pants" fashion without prior knowledge of the track layout.

The human drone pilot is far more aggressive with its maneuvers, whereas the autonomous drone is more conservative.
