Wow! 'grats to the guys who got in on this.
Amazon does mess up at times - I ordered a Nikon D7100 (1200$) from them, to be delivered to a friend in Boston, who was going to get it to India for me. Well, due to some cock-up between USPS and Amazon, the shipment showed up as "returned to sender" on Amazon's tracking, while it was actually delivered to my friend.
Amazon actually reimbursed the entire amount to my credit card - so I had the camera and the 1200USD credited back! I told their customer service rep about this, and they were very nice - offered me a 100$ GC to be used any way I liked on Amazon.

Wait, You got a $1200 camera, all your money back and a $100 gift card also? Unless you are saying you returned the camera and they gave you a $100 for the mixup? Sounds a bit odd but I'm game for the reply.

I'm assuming he took the "good karma" route and informed Amazon that the sale had completed correctly, paid the amount for the item in full, and for his honesty, Amazon gave him a 100 dollar gift card.

Also, congrats to everyone who scored - I almost never take chances on things like these, and probably wouldn't have even if I'd been in time. vOv

Obviously he got 100 giftcard for his trouble and for being honest. In know this is 2013 and honesty isn't common, well known, or considered in daily conversation, but still...

Here let me bold and color it for you. So from that he a free camera, his $1200 back and a $100 credit from Amazon. Remember your honesty comment. If he got the camera which he did. Why take the $1200 back and another $100 to boot then. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, that is why I asked for a reply. As from his statement, he clearly said he got his camera. So why on earth get your money back plus a $100 gift card?

Amazon actually reimbursed the entire amount to my credit card - so I had the camera and the 1200USD credited back! I told their customer service rep about this, and they were very nice - offered me a 100$ GC to be used any way I liked on Amazon.

My bad - I should have added that they charged my card after taking an authorisation via email, and THEN sent me a 100$ GC.
Nice of them.

Chatted with Amazon and the rep insisted I return the cards and repurchase when it comes back in stock in order to get Splinter Cell. Oh well....
For the people that didn't get in on this deal. There's probably a very small chance when it's back for sale it might be for the original price of $197. Iirc the same thing happened with the GTX 580 Lightning deal.

Got my shipment today. Does Amazon not include packing slips anymore? All that was in the box was 1 line of air-pack and a giant Asus GTX 680 DirectCu II box.

Thanks again OP. This is definitely one of the top 5 deals I've gotten in on.

I haven't received a packing slip for months, so I guess they no longer include it.

Yep!!!

Recieved both mine this moring wife opened the box said same thing no packing slip.
These suckers are HUGE.

Not sure if even one of these are going to fit in my case... I'll have to move the SCSI harddrives... Humm perhaps this is my excuse to go SSD.

Also mine came with a sort of packing slip, it says I sent myself a gift, has the order date info etc but no price. Odd must have clicked something.

Definetly pawning one off.

Props to the OP for posting an awesome deal. Very rarely do you see such bargains, and even more rarely people willing to share them.

I already have a GTX 770 so I probably wouldn't have bought this. But still TWO gtx 680s for the price of a 770 would have been mighty tempting. Hmmm. Congrats to the GTX 680 winners :)

Is the 25% off still working? Doesn't state that anywhere on the site.

Talk to a manager. Be polite and ask him/her if the 25% is still ongoing, and if it's not, ask them if they can give you the 25% off. Managers should have discresion to apply the discount if they want to or need to clear the inventory.

So, did anyone else buy these to keep? How are your OC's?

I can get 1267 stable (boost) on the core and 7400 on the memory. Regardless of what unigine says there (1272), GPUz and Afterburner both report a steady 1267 under load.

At least it runs cool.

I haven't really tried much. I just set it to 1200 core and went with it. 1267 seems a bit low (not by much though...), but these cards are probably the lowest binned chips that ASUS had since it's not an OC or TOP card. Overclocking is probably going to be very hit or miss with these....still can't really complain for the price we paid lol.

It'll pass some benches at 1280, but not everything, and 1293 crashes pretty quickly. Not that it matters but ASIC is 71.6%.

I ended up getting two of these and I am debating whether to run these in SLI or not.

I am getting a 2560x1600 monitor and SLi should help but worried that SLI setup might not fit inside a Fractal Arc Midi R2 case,

Congrats on the deal guys.

I think the decent thing to do is to make proper reviews on Amazon for this item.

that's great - i got in on this, got tracking number et al, yet somehow either amazon or fedex lost the package (fedex says they never received it - only a shipping label). that's worse than simply missing out on this - i had one in my hands and it still got away. my order is still open in hopes one of their fumbling warehouse people coming across it, but by monday i'll likely call and cancel it.
