Are we going to see another 10980XE in the future? That seem like a good balance for performance and PCI-E lanes and not have to go into Thread Ripper or Xeon.

after running into issues on 10 cores on comet lake causing whea errors I doubt we'll see ring on more than 8 cores anymore

When they start having problems with the yield of new high end Xeons, we will be blessed with the "New" HEDT CPU's. They have easier ways to profit than by rewarding their loyal customers with what they want. Just sayin.
