Need bios settings
ok, so based on the info I got from my oc teammates and their experience, overclocking ddr4 module kit (in this case, your 32gb kit is probably a dual rank) to 4000+ gear mode 2 will be very hard.Z690 p
I9
Corsair vengeance 32gb.
It's Micron chip, probably Micron Rev-B but dual rank version.
They are usually way looser than need be on auto settings. If messing with secondary timings??
can you screenshot the timings and sub?I got 4k at cl18
Will work needed.
can you screenshot the timings and sub?
you can use asrock timing configurator for intel based platform:
https://asrock-timing-configurator.software.informer.com/download/
that 4k freq with cas 18 was quite good, but I doubt it can clock higher as Micron Rev B (dual rank) freq achievement is not scalable to voltage increase.
that's correct.Maybe a testmem5 screenshot showing it is stable also.
Maybe a testmem5 screenshot showing it is stable also.
On (renoir) ryzen mind you. and with effort (manually adjusting primary, sub, and tertiary).Your micron hit 4k easily....
that's probably the IMC too.But i've also learned my RAM stability is tied to my CPU temps. Locked to 70C i'm totally stable, but I've got a chance at random crashes if the CPU hits 75C.
It's probably different kit.But these are lots of reports of r b clocking very high
Will do more
It's probably different kit.
Not to give label on corsair one, but corsair usually have lower quality chip when it comes to micron / hynix.
Their samsung b-die kit also, if the code is 4.32, it's almost same clocking to samsung c/s die.
And you could factor in your IMC of procie and dimm slot on your mobo.
HELP. CAN'T FIND TCWL VOLTAGE ON ASUS BIOS..
1. You're on intel 12 gen right? If so, for dram overclocking, voltage options include: SA voltage / VCCIO (you can start with 0.9v all the way to 1.15v max; tx vddq, vddq (for 4k and c18 you can start with 1.4v), and IMC voltage (this varies, for DDR5 I started with 1.3v, dunno about ddr4).

There is virtually no chance of reaching those speeds with that memory.
I'd try maybe 3600 and gear 1 with extra voltage.
Xmp 1 loads. Passes tests
Xmp 2 no boot with same settings.
Conclusion?
Use XMP1
Maybe just a buggy bios.
XMP2 isn't set right on the memory sticks.
