Any decent single slot cards for physics?

I have enough room for a single slot card but I don't know if any of the single slot cards that I have seen have enough GPU power for physics. I guess what I am asking is what is the best single slot card that i can use?

My main card is a 7970.

my gt 430 gets about 80% usage at the heaviest borderlands 2 caustic caverns, it's single slot, half height. i'm sure there are better 600 series cards, but you can pick up a used gt 430 for like $20-30 on these here forums.

That is good to know. At worse I can use your GT 430 as a base and go from there.

GT 545 is suppose to be pretty decent for a single slot. I've been thinking about picking one up for myself.

From what I have seen on the EVGA forum, you need the performance of a gt650ti to match up with a gtx690.

So you might want a gt650 performance range for a 7970.
