I wanted a power supply that started with 'A' and ended with 'tec', but all of the Aztec power supplies looked really cheap. This one looks pretty nice.
I've never used an Antec PSU, but I've heard great things about them. This unit looks awesome and would go well with a build I'm planning for my next gaming machine.
I have used Antec cases and power supplies for years. They have always worked well. In fact, the next build I have planned will use Antec items. Thanks for being a great product.
I am trying to get my old core 2 E8400 system up and running to give to my mom, she is not at all computer savy and I cannot afford extra costs at this time. She is going back to complete her schooling to be a drug and alcohol counselor, having had a nasty time trying to payoff osap and such for the past 10 years, I want to do something nice for mom as she has done so much for me and my brothers and keeps getting the crud end of the stick.
It will be an E8400 EO, P5Q-E,4gb 1066 Gskill ram, an Asus Sata optical I have kicking around, my "old" WD Black 640 drive, the parts I am missing are Case (still unsure) cables, power supply, and gpu. I simply do not have the ~$200 CAD for the missing stuff and she needs it for going back to school in January.
I think this power supply would fit the build extremely well, being modular will help keep it clean to prevent dust bunnies which mom does not clean often, but most importantly, it will have Antec performance and durability to make sure this system serves her as well as she has done for many people over the years, thanks so much for the chance [H] and Antec.
I have and still run Antec power supplies,my backup machine has a Antec 850 Quattro. I bought it because of the review on [H] and I am just amazed that it still is running. I don't question who to buy on power supplies, because Antec has been solid since my first one in 2002.
Usually run Antec PSUs because it's available at my local Fry's and just general wide availability for the brand. Good cost/performance ratio for the most part.
My trusty Antec True Power Trio 550 is still kicking so i dont need this, but i am building a new rig for my son, he is currently serving in the National Guard as an MP. We have a case, and some other components, but no PSU yet. This would be perfect for his new rig just in time for Christmas.
After we move into our first house, I am going to build my girlfriend a new Windows PC.
I already have a free graphics card, I would love to have a free power supply to go with it.
