Senior Director of AMD Software Strategy Terry Makedon has announced that Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.3 is out and it adds support for AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics. The Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 series of drivers give up to 17% average performance gains in eSports titles with AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.3 vs. 17.40 launch drivers for AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics. The drivers also give up to 10% average performance gains with AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.3 vs. 17.40 launch drivers for AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics. AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics must perform a driver upgrade to AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.3 to retain functionality of Radeon FreeSync on Radeon FreeSync enabled system configurations. The drivers add support for Dirt Rally 2 and Radeon RX Vega 64 owners can experience up to 3% performance gains in the rally racing simulator. Fixed issues include: Battlefield V players may experience character outlines stuck on screen after being revived. Fan speeds may remain elevated for longer periods than expected when using Tuning Control Auto Overclock or manual fan curve in Radeon WattMan on AMD Radeon VII. ReLive wireless VR may experience an application crash or hang during extended periods of play. Zero RPM will correctly disable in Radeon WattMan on available system configurations when manual fan curve is enabled. A loss of video may be intermittently experienced when launching a fullscreen player application with Radeon FreeSync enabled.

Known Issues: Mouse lag or system slowdown is observed for extended periods of time with two or more displays connected and one display switched off. Changes made in Radeon WattMan settings via Radeon Overlay may sometimes not save or take effect once Radeon Overlay is closed. Some Mobile or Hybrid Graphics system configurations may intermittently experience green flicker when moving the mouse over YouTube videos in Chrome web browser. A work around if this occurs is to disable hardware acceleration. Radeon WattMan settings changes may intermittently not apply on AMD Radeon VII. Performance metrics overlay and Radeon WattMan gauges may experience inaccurate fluctuating readings on AMD Radeon VII.

should take bets on how long until they're available to vegaFE users..... still dont have access to 19.2.2, or anything 19.x for that matter.

Yep it was me who constantly B***tched abou AMD lack of drivers... Now if we envy owners can get HP off their butt to get a good working BIOS. Drivers though seem to be working really well..
 
Bear with me, because I havent had an AMD GPU in ages, but whats the difference between an AMD driver and the regular Catalyst drivers? (Or do they even call them Catalyst anymore?)

Catalyst was a series of older drivers for AMD video cards. The newest are called Adrenalin 2019. Basically they like to change the name yearly when they add in new features. They spend the rest of the year fixing bugs and optimizing for the latest games. :)

Ah, as mentioned, while I have had an AMD APU or two in linux using open source drivers, last time I had an AMD GPU in Windows was with my dual 6970's in late 2011. I think they were called Catalyst then.

Ah, but they just added Ryzen APU's to the drivers now? What were windows users using up until now? Raven Ridge has been on the market since late 2017?

Do these performance increases impact Desktop APU's (Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G) as well, or were these already included in the Adrenaline drivers?

those were already included, it was just the laptop apu's that were locked down by the manufactures.
 
They were not locked down by the oems it was an AMD decision to have the manufacturers only supply the drivers. The feedback from the AMD and HP users and others finally convinced AMD to do what they should have done in the first place. After all Intel and Nvidia have always provided the end user with drivers..... The blame is AMD here....As a owner of one of these I read and participated in the AMD and HP community and I tell you a genuine dislike and despisement of AMD was growing along with HP for screwing up three different BIOS also. AMD might be getting better, but they are NOT in the Sames league as Intel or Nvidia and if they really want to get there they better realize customer support IS A BIG DEAL...
 
Now if only AMD can convince laptop makers to stop only putting AMD chips in the leftover garbage they have had laying around for two years I'll actually be able to get a new laptop.

The offerings available are infuriating.
 
I did a clean install and now Freesync is no longer supported. I believe I followed all the directions correctly, is anyone else having the same problem?
 
Yeah even without it things are running more smoothly. I wonder if battery life will improve with it.
