Not much. I personally think the 6800's are ripoffs though, their performance is in some cases slower than 5950's. And for for 100 bucks more you can get a 6800 GT, it just makes it a no brainer. Also, i'd say nvidia/nividia's partners are making a killing of these because, they use slow, cheap ram, half the ram of the others, uses chips that dont make the cut, and is only 100 less.

is there any reviews of the regular 6800's? my 9800 just went to RMA from newegg and I am getting a refund. kinda trying to decided whether to get another 9800 or upgrade for $50 to the 6800.

I've got alot of benches for the 6800's i can give you tommorrow if you still want them. I'm tired though and going to bed now.

A 6800nu outperforms a 5950 and 9800XT both hands down i can tell you right now and a 5950 and 9800XT are BOTH still well over $300 (cost of a 6800nu).

The 6800nu is a great buy if you dont want to spring the extra $100 for a GT.

any more of those 6800 benchmarks.

i did read through the fireing squad benchies and it's really lacking a 9800 pro or 9800xt for comparison.

basically that is what i need to know. 6800 vs. 9800 .... obviously a x800 pro will beat it .. and it's obvisouly better than a 5950u.

The way I see it... if your strapped for cash, try to buy a 6800. But for the long run.... the GT is a better deal. A 6800 might last you 2-3 years, where the GT has so much more bandwidth... it will definitely go for 3-4 years. Considering this is a 1-2 year difference, thats basically like upgrading your card for only $100... which we all know is impossible. Hard to spend the money on a $400 card... but if you think about it, your getting a lot more if u can swing it.

I had my eyes on a 6800 non-ultra, but NOT NEVER, EVER, until I can buy a 256meg one.

128meg cards *will* be memory limited in 6 months. Doesn't matter though, I won't be upgrading 'till this line gets refreshed, and falls in price.

DDR=system memory
GDDR=graphics memory.

All graphics cards use GDDR, they just don't always say so.
