Hi guys. I'm getting some slowdown on counter-strike. We're talking dipping into the 30s and i'm running a 6800gt. Obviously this shouldn't be happening. Does anyone know a program that i can use to see if its getting to hot and slowing the core down? I've tried the one Nvidia says to use but for some reason i can never get it to work.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to why i'm getting slowdown? Thanks.

ah, I would try a more demanding game, maybe COD4 and see if you have similar problems. Theres a demo out there too. if you dont it could just be something specific to that game.

as far as temps, theres a few programs that can tell you temps of your videocard.

N-tune
ATI tool
Everest
GPU-Z

you can try any of those programs. Dont be afraid of ATI tool, it works on Nvidia hardware too :)

I'll submit....

Speedfan
Rivatuner
HWMonitor
PC Wizard

There's alot of programs out there that can monitor your temps. Just about any one of them will work. I personally like Rivatuner because of it's graphing capabilities but any of the other's work great as well.
