CNBC is reporting (WARNING auto play video) talks have taken place over the last few weeks and there is no certainty they will lead to a deal. The two sides are not currently talking at this very moment, but given the on again, off again nature of the talks, they could be revisited. If this were to happen then Disney would get the X-Men to go with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As far as I'm concerned the mouse is too big as it is. Don't do it 21st Century Fox.

For Disney, the opportunity to take control of another movie studio and significant TV production assets as it readies a direct-to-consumer entertainment streaming offering is attractive as is Fox's significant exposure to international markets, such as the U.K., Germany and Italy — both through its networks and 39 percent ownership of Sky.

This would match up nice with the reset of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers 4.

This is a terrible idea.

After the nonsense disney is trying to pull now with the cinema's and the last Jedi.

They will be 100x worse if they get all of fox's content.

Expect prices to raise for everything they own including that ticket to disney land.

Fox can sell them the rest of Marvel.... they sure haven't been making great use of it. On the other hand, Disney getting bigger.... hmmmm. I dunno.

Disney's Deadpool

The Spiderman cartoon that ended last year had at least one Deadpool episode. 'Pool was voiced by Will Friedle doing his Ron Stoppable-style voice. It, like that show in general, was not entertaining.

I do however want to see the Fantastic 4, Doom, and all the associated cosmic heroes and villains be part of the MCU under Feige's stewardship.

This deal should be blocked. There's no way Disney should be allowed to purchase another major studio.

Is it wrong that I want this to go through, if only to get the PC port of Marvel Vs Capcom 1&2 and X-Men Vs. Street Fighter that it deserves?

(yes I know emulators are a thing. I want a proper release)

Thank god for Netflix.
I really can't live in a world owned by Disney and their proliferation of safe corporate polished turds. Then again they might be into adult movies and i dont even know.

Fast forward 100 years, and you'll have megacorps. Thats what disney will become once they buy everything up over the next 100 years

Lucasfilm never should have sold out to Disney...George should have just kept the company himself and stepped down and let Kathleen Kennedy run the whole operation...Disney is too much about family friendly/merchandise sales...hopefully 20th Century Fox won't go to the dark side

EDIT: wait a minute...WTH is 21st Century Fox?...I thought the movie studio was called 20th Century Fox?

I REALLY want MCU movies with ALL the characters.

I know I have the minority opinion, but I think X-Men and mutants having their own private 'universe' makes more sense to me. Otherwise 'Us and Them' has Spiderman and the Hulk over here with us normal non-mutants. Why do they all have to be in every story together?

Having the characters separated forces the film makers to compromise the source material. Also, it gets us nonsense like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch not being Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The X-Men films alone are way off, inaccurate, and missing many interesting and deep storylines due to this.

20th Century Fox is the movie studio. 21st Century Fox is the conglomerate that owns 20th Century Fox, as well as Fox News, FX, ect.

22nd Century Fox is the mega corp that owns all entertainment, the transmission system, and the delivery method.

This is (unintentionally?) funny.
