No one even tried it? Any other viable option in the sub $450 section for 1440p with 144Hz?
I am in no way looking for the perfect photo editing monitor, just a monitor for gaming that has the above resolution and refresh rate....i simply don't want to buy the worst of the worst (,Sir!).

That monitor is TN, FYI - if you're okay with that, it's an option. I am looking for a monitor with those specs except I want an IPS panel. I think might be VA panels with those specs but I'll provide with the newegg links of 1440p, 144Hz monitors with IPS - I think most people will recommend you go with IPS but that's just a guess:

Finally I went to the only local store having a 144Hz WQHD monitor and looked at it. It was a HP 27 XQ with a TN display. It's actually better than I thought and i bought it. TN panels might have their shortcomings, but they also improved a lot since i last had one. Colors are definately OK, no bleeding, no stuck or dead pixels. Ok, black is still a dark gray, but it is managable with some adjustments. Viewing angels are still nothing to write home about, but i never look at my screen from an extreme angle.

The PX277h you posted, does that play well with Nvidia cards? Do I need to worry about dead pixels and a bad panel lottery?
It's not being sold by Amazon so having to return it might be a big pain.

The MSI 34” ultrawide is $400 a Microcenter and 100hz Freesync. No way I’d buy a 27” over that.
It doesn't matter which card you have, either a G-Sync or FreeSync monitor will work but both types are more oriented towards 'extra features' with the corresponding video card they were geared towards - so, it's probably better to try and find a Freesync monitor if you have an AMD card and G-Sync monitor if you have a Nvidia card.
I think there's some G-sync 27" monitors that look good from AOC - although, on the Cdn site, the newegg ones are refurbished.
Also, there is an Acer monitor that looks good for Americans - that is being sold by Microcenter - $369 and it's the Acer that has been previously mentioned. As usual, the Americans get all the breaks....

The newest version of this Acer is the VG271U which is almost impossible to find....either they are having production issues or it's ultimately going to be discontinued? It's on the USA newegg site, though:
