I'm currently talking to Seasonic about warranty on my Seasonic Prime Platinum SSR-1200PD but the situation is wierd.
I was gaming and started to smell an electrical burning smell from under my desk. Apart from the smell, nothing was amiss so I saved my game and shut my PC down over night. 24h later I turned my PC on and gave the PSU a sniff test, and yeah, it smelled. But my PC ran just fine.
Curses 12VHPWR!
So I pulled the PSU and inspected every connector. All perfect. WTF. I moved some of the EPS and PCI cables around and my PC was completely unstable. Put everything back to where it was, still unstable, swapped the EPS cables and boom, system fine again. I tested the 12V rails on all the PCI/EPS connectors and they all show 12v.
What a damn mystery. I'll let you all know what Seasonic says. I have an additional headache; I'm in New Zealand and the retailer I purchased from is long gone.
