The Steam Controller drops at 1pm EST today. Valve has said they should have enough but we've heard that before. Who's picking one up?
 
I'm happy with my Flydigi Apex 4 atm. Don't think I need to spend $100 on another controller right now. It looks really bulky so I'd like to feel it in my hands before buying one.
 
Guy at work said the two bottom pads one is for mouse cursor the other is for scrolling. I take his word for it.
 
If I used a controller I would buy this thing. It looks awesome, pretty much exactly what I want. It is actually tempting to buy one but I just almost never use a controller.
 
I don’t own a deck and that would be the only reason I’d buy one. Otherwise a ps5 or a Xbox controller work fine and are comfortable.

Did Valve already limit it one per address? They should find ways to combat scalpers.
 
I started trying to buy it the moment it became active. Got 1 in my cart then kept getting a "store too busy try again in a few minutes type of error", still kept trying and then about 30 minutes in it showed out of stock. So, I am not going to get one the first time around. Should have let us preorder it, or at least backorder it now. I hate playing the refresh game followed by the site refusing to work only to see the bots buy them all and then scalper trash have them up for resale moments after at twice the price. Well, I waited this long. Pretty sure I will be fine.

I started off with this same error, but I got lucky after ~19 minutes and was finally able to snag one. I didn't need it, but they look nice and had almost $200 in my Steam wallet so I figured I'd give it a try.
 
Several users on r/steamcontroller are reporting a dead zone at the bottom-left of the left trackpad. Valve pushed out a firmware update to fix it but apparently it didn't fix it.

Hopefully not a widespread hardware issue. Though I do kind of hope that all of the scalpers and the idiots who bought from them get a defective trackpad.

Kida crazy there are people actually buying this from scalpers.

What's the rush to use this thing that you need to pay double? The Steam Machine isn't even close to being out.

I imagine it's people that just give into any FOMO or need to brag they have something exclusive.

exactly fomo or bragging/epeen. (more money than sense, same as gpus)
