I realized yesterday This case is harder to pick up and move around than it was 14~yrs ago when I bought it.

I bought this NZXT H630 case many years ago, and I have just kept in and swapped out parts in a number of builds now.

However yesterday when i needed to pull this case out and dust it out and add a couple drives... I realized I am not getting any younger now in my 50s and it was a real pain picking this case up and putting it on the table outside... maybe time soon~ to get a new lighter case..

However amusingly I now have enough drives in this case that finding something new might be a bit of a hassle? I also would honestly like to keep my DVD drive which is more problematic at this point..

I need to start looking around for another option, but I'm not really in a huge hurry but probably should find something when I do a new build I guess (assuming pricing of anything ever becomes less ****ed?)

At least that case is lighter than they used to make them. I had to pull out my AMD MP system out last year, and that is in an Antec SX1240 steel full tower with 6 hard drives. That made me say many bad words trying to manhandle that heavy beast. Fortunately my main system is in a Lian-Li huge full tower, so it is no where near as heavy in spite of being way bigger than the Antec.

Still a nice case. My. Corsair 7000X full loaded is a hefty one also. I’m in my 50’s also and hate moving it so went with an NZXT H9 (2025) I had, but I don’t use DVD drives anymore.

Be thankful you don't have a 1000d that thing is well over 100 pounds with everything in it.

Man you aren't kidding. I had to use my phone to take a picture of the mb header when I accidentally pulled the start button a few months ago. Getting old is odd
been having to do that to read fine print on shit lately. i guess i should have accepted the eye docs "you might want progressives" suggestion...

I got my first pair of bifocals a couple months ago. Could have gone progressive but the bifocals were cheaper and I'm kinda liking them for what I needed them for - meetings at work. My vision isn't too bad - didn't need glasses until I was in my 40s - but I do need them for driving so I can read street signs and my really short range vision isn't what it used to be. Most of the time I don't wear glasses and I don't need them to use a computer. At any rate in meetings I need to be able to see my laptop and the meeting room screen. The bifocals work great for that. They have a laptop section and a rest of the room section.

I miss the old Lian-Li all-aluminum cases. I've still got one down in my basement housing my little home server. It's basically a small NAS & runs a couple other apps. i3 Linux box. At any rate it's a full tower case and one of the lightest I've owned. My current case is also lighter than a lot of my past ones. Fractal North XL mesh version. It weighs a lot less than my last couple cases- Fractal Define XL and be Quiet Dark Base Pro 900. Still not my heaviest case ever. Back in the 2000s when I was building dual socket rigs I had a Chenbro pedestal case. Last time dad upgraded we downsized him to mATX. He was in his late 60s at the time and has some issues with one of his shoulder joints.

I'm also kind of annoyed by all this tempered glass everywhere. Shit is heavy, and I just don't see the point of showing off the innards of my rig.

My Yeong Yang YY-0221 cube case weighed nearly 60lbs back in the day with 8 HDD's and a GTX 285.
Now it has those drive cages and 12 HDD's but no GPU, have no idea what it weighs and there is no way that I could pick it up today due to my physical disabillty.
I used to carry this case to my boss's house every now and then when I'd house sit and watch his dogs for the weekend.
