Decided to roll my own home server yet again after using the Ugreen for about 18 months. It was a lot more powerful than my old Synology but I ended up wanting more power for docker containers, VMs with GPU support, etc. Nothing wrong with the unit itself, and would be a good use case for someone who just wants a basic home NAS with more horsepower than a Synology. I immediately installed a new SSD and installed Proxmox and Arcloader DSM on the thing when I received it, but I reverted the system back to the factory UGOS NVME SSD, so it will need updating before being put into production. UGOS apparently has come a long way since 2024 so it should have a lot more features and be very similar to Synology DSM these days. Comes with the stock 8GB of RAM that it shipped with.

No drives other than the factory system m.2 SSD is included.

Works just fine as a basic no-frills home NAS with light virtualization and docker support. The DXP8800's Intel 1235U processor also has integrated graphics for things like Plex and a PCIe slot for single slot GPUs if you want to go that route in a nice compact package.

Comes with all original packaging and factory box for safe shipment to you.

Please post or PM if you have any particular questions about the unit.

Set one of these up for a friend with 64GB RAM, 2 1TB NVME's for apps and TrueNAS Scale, running a bunch of containers. Other than the racket 8 26TB drives make, he's been exceptionally happy with it. For containers and light use VM's it's a great setup. Well made hardware too.

Last bump before I go out of the country for a few weeks - can ship out up until like March 21st.
