You said Corsair, and I'm pretty sure you meant EVGA (PSU supplier to the world)....
Adapters suck, but falling for fear-mongering-for-clicks is stupid lol. Would Corsair be selling this if it was going to set all their psu's on fire?
Well considering neither of them actually make PSU's... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯You said Corsair, and I'm pretty sure you meant EVGA (PSU supplier to the world).
Ok... but how about that logo? Gotta be worth something?Well considering neither of them actually make PSU's... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ROFLMAO!I changed my mind. The Suprim Liquid is overpriced. 420 pounds over Founders Edition. Does an el cheapo Asetek AIO look like it’s worth that much? LMAO

Just read their forums and the admin said those prices are placeholders aka they made it up lol. I still think it’s gonna be very close to their guesstimates. Was afraid it was going to be over $2000. But man that FE is huge!
Actually that includes VAT so it might be less than $2000 but with tax it still will be over.
I think I am going to still get the AIO. The smaller size, quieter, cooler, and it won’t block my M2 slot are the reasons. I could get FE or new case but that AIO I think for me would be better for me. Still crazy that I am going to spend this much for a card. I am running 2070 super for the last 3 years that I think I bought for close to 500. This card should last me 4+ years.Just read their forums and the admin said those prices are placeholders aka they made it up lol. I still think it’s gonna be very close to their guesstimates.![]()
Of course, as an AIO, after 5 years, things get highly questionable.I think I am going to still get the AIO. The smaller size, quieter, cooler, and it won’t block my M2 slot are the reasons. Those days are done. If this card is 450W up to 600W+, there's no way in the world a blower style cooler would work for it.I would really love to see if they come up with some kind of blower-style cooler design that doesn't dump most of the heat inside the case and maybe even doesn't take more than 3 slots. Right now I have a 2nd small videocard in my computer for my 5th and 6th monitor. I would have to remove that 2nd card to be able to use these 3.5 slot 4090 cards that they have shown so far.
eh... I mean, we'd be talking about a 2+ slot height blower out. I think it's possible. (but not sure why we'd see one)Those days are done. If this card is 450W up to 600W+, there's no way in the world a blower style cooler would work for it.
I would make sure they're at least using Asetek. After looking into the Suprim Liquid, MSI did not state which OEM they are using this time. If they swtiched to Apaltek from China, then I would avoid it at all cost due to their non-stop gunk issues.I think I am going to still get the AIO. 4090 Strix is $1999 on Newegg. That's dead on arrival XD.
FEThis thread is specifically for those who intend or might consider getting RTX 4090 card soon or in the distant future. There is already a thread discussing about the 4000 series, so let's not bring this up here.
Too bad no EVGA card as I think it would be awesome and that would be my preference.
I know there is still no card review, particularly price and performance (e.g. overclocking) but should have better picture around or after Oct 12th.
For now it is the aesthetic and some reasonable good guesses that can be made from the card design and from manufacturers' site.
Here are some links to RTX 4090 models that will be made available soon.
Tom's hardware.
Techfluencer.
Hothardware.
For me, I'm leaning towards the FE since it is likely to be the cheapest. For me, cost is important as most of my computer hardware are been dedicated towards distributed computing and not gaming (sorry gamers, I'm not a hardcore gamers). My second choice will be ASUS TUF and again due to cost but ZOTAC one looks very nice (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) with curvy edges....
Asus tax is wicked this time around.Wow a $400 markup over FE for what? RGB and maybe a 5% performance increase? The Suprim X is only $1699.
Be honest, how many of you bought $2k 3090's or more?4090 Strix is $1999 on Newegg. That's dead on arrival XD.
I bought a 3080 TUF for around $750 a few months after launch. I'm only buying the flagship 4090 this time because it's the only one that is worth the upgrade. The 4080s are trash for the pricing.Be honest, how many of you bought $2k 3090's or more?
The most attractive GPU waterblock in existence. Love the SFF that takes such good advantage of the tiny FE PCB.4090 FE - because I'll be watercooling it. Already have the EK Quantum Vector FE RTX 4090 waterblock on pre-order. Power also isn't an issue as I have a 1350W PS in my rig. Looking forward to keeping my room warm this winter.
I was thinking it was going to be around $1999 but if this is true then this becomes a no brainer.BB has the Liquid X priced at $1749. Not shabby if that's actual price. I have a feeling it'll end up being higher.

EVGA sold their hybrid cards for the same price as the air cooler ones, I suspect a cheapo OEM AIO costs less to produce than a high end 450W+-capable aircooler honestly.BB has the Liquid X priced at $1749. Not shabby if that's actual price. I have a feeling it'll end up being higher.

FSR 2.1 isn't bad, but I woulnd't put it on the same level as DLSS 2.0. I'm more interested in price/perf and perf/per watt, either way I couldn't afford a 4090 and the 4080 pricing is bad.I plan to hold off until AMD release their new cards. As much as I like DLSS 2.0, FSR 2.0+ is just as good.
I do not like having a freaking 4 slot card in my case to be honest. The power draw isn't a concern for me. But, possibly having to buy a new PSU is not something I want to do.
Since I game at 4k 120hz I am always GPU bound.....bring on the new cards!
Looking at reviews with FSR and DLSS. It was basically even in IQ. But, yeah we are getting off topic now lol.FSR 2.1 isn't bad, but I woulnd't put it on the same level as DLSS 2.0. I'm more interested in price/perf and perf/per watt, either way I couldn't afford a 4090 and the 4080 pricing is bad.
