I want to like the 7900 XTX but I can't decide whether to feel dirty about paying that much and still getting last gen RT performance.
Honestly ALL of these cards are like $100-200 overpriced. What a shitty time to be looking for a new build.
My brother and I basically got the last 2 Powercolor 7900XTX Red Devils from Microcenter Madison Heights, MI. I was going there to possibly grab an ASRock Reference model (all that was left on the website which showed limited availability buy in...
I'd be really interested in overclocking, because if these can OC to compete with a 4090 (not beat it but be in the same league) than I'm greatly interested.
All we can do is make wild guesses. Given the forum, my guess is:
Does the cooler size matter when microwaving a graphics card? If i wanted to microwave a triple slot card, should I increase the time?
Reminds me of the time I bent a bunch of pins on an intel CPU around 20 years ago because of the same type of thing. I bent em back as best I could and the CPU worked just fine.
Once you reach a certain age you accumulate enough experience to notice some patterns:
Win 3.11 -> Windows 95: A small vocal minority hated the changes and did everything they could to cling on to the past but the majority moved on just fine...
why do you give a shit what others think? are you happy with it? if so... fuck em
im about to have 3 4080's... everybody can kiss the fattest part of my ass if they dont like it
as for what can you play? just about any game out now at max or...
I have a 3080 OC gigabyte 10gig card and I get 100 to 140 fps in the games that I play. I have a 144hertz 3440x1440p monitor and see no reason to buy the 4 series. The price is sickeningly high and my 3080 is giving me plenty of fps.
Anyone else...
They both will? But I think I won't be the only one saying: the 4080 isn't worth the money. The 7900XTX will likely eat its lunch for at least $300 less. If you're not going to buy a 4090 then I probably wouldn't buy an nVidia card period...
