If all mods followed PureDarks example of charging say 5 bux.. You apply a couple hundred mods and now your paying 2000+ dollars for mods... No, that would be insane.
Of course there are differences. But paying just for Puredark's Starfield mod is now pointless. Paying for access to all of Puredarks other work though... Different story, even if I don't agree with the idea of mods being payware.
How does he know it's going to be bad ahead of time? I think it's their job to investigate and figure it out and report on it (or at least that is the idea).
Exactly this, you have no idea how a pre-built PC is going to come to the customer. If they know GN is going to review it, you know damn well that company will "make sure" that its tip-top and running perfectly.
